Class of 2013!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Would now be a good time to ask what your avatar is all about? It scares the crap out of me.

It's the eyes from this picture

 No! You have to vote for yourself!!! Thanks for the offer though. Ok, now I'm really going to sleep. Night!

Too late...and good night!

This reminds me of when I was a kid growing up. If my parents weren't home and I wanted to do something without their permission, I would just pretend they were there and ask anyways...

"Mom!?! Can I go so the store for some ice cream?? *silence* If you don't answer that means yes!!! *silence* Ok, can't say I didn't ask!!"

I actually didn't originally think it would be scary since Tasiers are kind of cute. But then when I cropped out the body it definetly looked creepy. I like it though, so I kept it.

lol. it's memorable, that's for sure.

I woke up at 1 pm for the completion of my sleep cycle destruction. Combined with my workload is low in the winter, so I get super energized by not having to work all the time.

How about yourself?

I'm kind of a night owl. I get most of my work done at night and I usually head to bed between 2 to 3am. My first classes are usually around 11 so I still get my rest. This will have to chance once med school start though.

So I take it you are out of school already?

Actually still in college, this is my last semester. Just normally work full time or more hours(except in winter), hence the work reference.

Congrats Berken! 😀😀 Awesome.

Good night to Lyss, Vadd0, Ryserr, Funky, Scarlet, (CRB? are you still up?) and Berken 🙂 and others I missed (??)

I think aznboy left a while ago.

Yeah I passed out at midnight 😴 Probably should have signed off first. Sorry!

I'm not sure I can support "molding" bfs... but I can't TELL you the number of times I've felt the cold shoulder from my gf for like a week, I ask her what's wrong, and she says, "Nothing"... aka, she wants me to figure it out on my own. This is unfortunate, as I never figure out what the heck is up, and I just wind up feeling confused and we both wind up frustrated.😡

So yeah... TELL HIM!!! Waiting for us guys to just suddenly have an epiphany never works!

+1. I think women can't fathom that men are as clueless as we actually are sometimes so they expect that we can tell when you're upset about something when we actually think everything is fine (did that sentence structure make sense?). Don't be upset that he can't figure out your moods; only get upset if you tell him what's wrong and he doesn't bother to address it.

I dunno why I am awake right now... I do not have class today...

I refuse to enter the not class of 2013 thread... LOL.

don't its a crazy place ... and i believe the only reason they started it was coz someone posted not to on the sdn commandments. then 5 minutes later class of 2016 and stuff started popping up!?!

Everyone wants their group. They just wish they were cool like us. Good morning, blues 🙂

Yeah, I feel ya. I'm ready for med school too. But it does mean early mornings continue... thankfully the way my school is set up, they wont ALL be eight oclocks. Every day is different. That'll be neat 🙂

Usually I'll start at 8 or 9, have an hour off from 10-11, have lunch from 12-1, then a lab or something in the afternoon (Gross til December).

Even if I go to every class, seems like I wont start earlier than 8 and USUALLY lab is scheduled to end at 4-5, I suspect Gross will be later than that some but still, not a bad schedule.

August seems so far away, doesn't it? At least those of us who have been working for a while will be used to the early wake up times.

It'll be earlier waking up for me due to more city traffic and living a bit further away from school... plus with the traffic AT the school area, the overflow parking fills quickly and you have to park even further away... I'd prefer just ONE shuttle trip instead of two 🙂

yeah that is true. i really am not a morning person ... and i know it doesn't work well with this profession. i better get used to waking up early!

Blues, did you say you're not American? Which country are you from?

Which probably means Surgery and ER rotations are gonna be the longest months of my life...

Really? ER seems like it would be interesting at the very least. Which specialty are you thinking of?

I originally thought Neuro, but apparently all you do is diagnose. There aren't too many treatments for many conditions. That might get depressing after a while...
