haha this is so cheesy but do you guys ever wonder in awe at all the weird things we will know about the human body? i sometimes think of the weirdest questions (of course i cant think of an example now) and think "wow, ill know the answer to that"

Yah... sometimes I think about the tiny little bumps on our bones or the random blood vessel that I get a cut on, and I think, next year, I will be tested on which vein it is or which fossa of the bone this is....

Nope... one person told me that he had been complete early and then got an interview in february... so there is still hope...:xf:

Okay so i have my check up for the dentist today, and the dentist assistant who does the cleanin is making small talk...

DA: so where do you go to school

Me: i'm a senior at occidental

DA: Oh so youll be lookin for a job here pretty soon? (chuckles)

me: no actually im gonna continue going to school, so no job market for me!

DA: Oh really? what kinda school

me: ill be goin to med school next year

DA: oh congrats! So you are going to get a masters?

Me: no ill be getting an MD

DA: Oh wow, so where are you going? Universidad de Mexico?🙂confused: wtf)

me: (kind of confused on why she would guess that) No ill be staying in the U.S.

DA: (appearing to be on the right track) so do you know what specialty you are interestd in?

Me: I kinda like orthopedics

DA: Oh thats great, ive always liked orthodontics. You should tell Dr. X he would be excited to know you are going in to a field dealing with teeth!

:smack: I just gave up and let her clean my teeth.

Haha she sounds really dumb...guess that is why you are going to med school and she will be cleaning lunch out of your teeth.
 
Haha, my dental hygienists always ask me that stuff, too. But I don't think anyone would assume I was going to Mexico 😛. It's a little far from Florida...

But as for out-of-the-country-medical-schools, someone once suggested to me that "if there's a medical school in Puerto Rico, I should apply because they have such great weather."

:laugh::laugh: I watch a lot of trivia shows (Jeopardy, Cash Cab) so every time a question about health or the human body comes up...I wonder if I will know that in a couple years 😎

Ryserr, that's really funny lol. Sorry about UCLA, I hear they're snobs. Especially the undergrads who are obsessed with monkeys for some reason 😕.

And i saw the convo about GTA4 earlier. I just bought it...at the very least, it's really entertaining.

haha, yeah...but I figure there are thousands of cabs in NYC so your chances would probably be roughly similar to a med school applicant at any particular med school.

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of cold weather. I think that's why PR schools were suggested. But it was funny because she was suggesting the PR schools without even knowing if they existed or not. 😉

On a related note: I really loved the snow in NYC. The cold I could totally do without, but the snow was lovely.
 
So they just made a hotline for the Amber Alert to help traffic the calls for missing children as opposed to just using 911. So, they are going to start flashing the hotline numbber on thos electronic signs on the freeways......I think its great that they have a hotline, but also ironic that you could (at least in CA) get a ticket for trying to contact that hotline while driving your car on the freeway (cant be on a cell phone while driving).

Like two weeks ago i went out with my freshman year roomate and sophmore year housemate. He transferred after sophmore year and i havent seen him sense. I agree, catch up convos are always fun.
