Yea I get to a point where if I'm upset and wanted you to know I would tell you... but usually he just asks if I'm upset & if I say no he will wait for me to tell him I'm mad, which I appreciate.

If I am lucky, and my project works, I will be able to turn my honors thesis into a publication... but otherwise, none... although now that I am actually able to come to lab and not have to worry about being gone once or twice every week, I am getting around to doing my experiments...😳

1. I'm not a crazy. I've been doing 25-40 hrs of research for the past 4 years, so I'm kinda wrapping it all up now.
2. I hope your honors thesis turns into a pub! :xf:
3. I've actually been going into lab more these days! I don't care about classes as much...so I have more time for gym + lab.
 
watching this laker game is ridiculous

might as well head to the gym now to play instead.

I always pictured upper level science like A Beautiful Mind. Clearly that movie was false advertising. Also, note the cookie icon. It looks delicious to my cookie starved dieting mind... and like JJ Thompson's atomic model. I've digressed into a stream of consciousness... Mmmm 3 AM...

Oh man, I think a decision was made on my application to Upstate. Hopefully, I get a phone call before the end of the day :xf::xf:

oooo, aznboy good luck! i think they lost my application. i feel like i should have gotten an interview/rejected by now. nothing 🙁

Isn't March when many schools start sending out mass rejection letters? I know NYU does it and I think so does Northwestern?

but some people have already been rejected by upstate pre-interview. others have come off hold. i'm just confused because they also haven't updated to my new address

Oh yeah, I know some schools have "rolling rejections" (I've gotten 3 myself) but I think some schools just reject everyone at the same time in the spring. Maybe I'm wrong.

Hey guys!

It's going to be about 60 degrees and partly cloudy today, so I'm taking the afternoon off to go golfing with my Dad and brother. My brother's in his 3rd year of law school and he only has class on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. How unfair is that!

I don't think I have the dexterity for origami and papier-mache gets kind of messy. I'm loving the C option though :laugh:

Ha! I have a slight inclination that third year med school won't be just 3 days a week. :laugh:

Yeah, tell me about it! He graduates in May and he already has a job offer from a big firm in Richmond for $150K + bonus. I'm proud of him, but a bit envious - I'm just thinking to myself "when I'm his age $150K will be the amount of debt I've accrued rather than my yearly salary." 🙄
 
So I had a dream last night that I was at my Columbia interview... but there were like 100 students in a big room, and they decided that instead of sending acceptances in March they would just call out the applicants that were accepted that day. Well they only called about 5 people and I wasn't one of them... 🙁 Thank God it was only a dream.

Oh... I had scary dreams like that... I actually had a dream where I got an outright rejection from UTSW... But I got in on the first day... Hopefully the same happens with this dream... as in you get accepted...not rejected🙂
