In other news, putting clothes on right out of the dryer is one of the greatest things of all time. Especially if they are closed that are meant to keep you warm, like sweatpants or a sweatshirt.

Blues, my parents use H & R Block... they are pretty good, but then again, they do not know too much about tax stuff...my parents use them because the first time they had to file taxes, they did it themselves, they got audited really badly by the IRS..😱
 
oh congrats OMBD!!! i thought that only medical students could enter and since i already had taken the mcats i didn't enter the premed stuff 🙁 crap
 
blues i have no idea. i know 1040 is income tax or something but I dont know if I have to file. In 2008 I earned about 1500 through work and got about 5000 in fellowship money

gloryfield i think you only need w2 for wages. and there is a separate thing for fellowship. i don't think you need that one. but i'm not sure

Speaking of Riceman's post from 2 pages ago...is anyone else addicted to TOP CHEF?? I think Carla is HILARIOUS! Now randomly I say "Gail!" in that weird voice that she has whenever I want to freak my boyfriend out (he's addicted too). I totally did not agree with last week's decision about who went home...Leah SO deserved to go!!

I don't even know what to think of my "interview," if you can even call it that. It lasted about 20 minutes, and he asked me just a few simple questions... let's see if I can remember them: "Is this your first time in NYC?" "Are you interviewing at other schools in the area?" "Why are you applying to Columbia?" "What do you do for fun?" "What kind of music do you like to play on the piano?"

For each question I was only able to say about one sentence before my interviewer started talking about all of the opportunities at Columbia. I feel like I certainly learned a lot about the school but the interviewer didn't get a chance to know me very well... I don't know, from what I hear, this is a good thing but I'm afraid I didn't show enough personality in the interview and since my numbers aren't the best I'm not going to be accepted. :scared:

Also, I still haven't gotten a response to my LOI either (it arrived at Columbia on 1/22 thanks to USPS certified mail).

Recorded lecures should have that Tivo function that slices out commercials, but instead of commercials it could slice out the stupid questions.
