i'm waiting on 11, but i know for a couple of them the interview season is over like PENN, just waiting for the REJECTED letters now, but for the others, i would only go to two of the schools to interview if i get invited.

haha, no one else got it probably. i 😍 rugby so much, but there aren't that many people in america who are into it so i love it when i find someone else i can talk to it about haha

o, btw, it became official today that I'm going to Cornell. I got waitlisted at Pitt which was the only school I liked just as much as Cornell. At least it's over now woo hoo

its sad that its not more popular....but this weekend is going to be awesome. I have a pretty big game on Friday night, and then saturday we are all going down (women's and men's team) to San Diego to watch the international 7s tourney....we went two years ago and had a blast. I cant wait!

i watched what I could...our school was pretty cool and ordered Satanta so we could watch it when we managed to grab the TV in the cooler (one of the places to eat and hang out). How cool would it be to go in 2011?!?! Thats my dream 🙂

I'm going to Downstate next Friday for Shadow-A-Student. If no major skeletons fall out of their closet, I'm probably going to withdraw from all my remaining non-interview invite schools (might stay on the waitlist at Stony Brook just to see if I ultimately get accepted or not).

I saw this article too, though I'm not sure if a court ruling alone is going to deter some families from declining vaccinations anyway. It seems like a LOT of people believe that vaccinations contribute to autism, regardless of what a judge says. That's a scary thought, that measles, mumps, rubella, etc. might start making a comeback because of this fear.

i know i am kinda being a sore loser, but our nation was horrified when that referee missed the forward pass that lead to the try that let france win. and in their other try it appeared there was interference between there players blocking a nz defender creating a gap for them to go through. all our know is that we were heartbroken and that we are all geared up to winning in 2011!!! so :xf: that NZ wins :laugh:
 
I'm basically all set with my decision, too. The more I think about it, the more I feel Vandy was a great fit for me and their financial aid was, well, unbeatable. It'll really suck to give up Sinai (I loooooved it) and if I get into Emory/Duke I'll just cry, but oh well. I'm off to look at condos to buy in March 😀.

In other news, I finished most of the financial aid stuff yesterday and it took me, oooh....7 hours? Needaccess asks stuff like the make, model, and cost of your parents' cars, how much they pay for mortgage, how much the house cost when they first bought it and how much it's worth now...it's totally outrageous. Fafsa was stupid. Each school has its own application. I wanted to die.

Congrats on your decision as well! I'm so glad I don't have to do the NeedAccess... it sounds like a booger!
 
LET, congrats on making your decision 😀 maybe you could drop in a word to sinai for me huh? haha. i'm so stoked that we were chosen to host. i really hope that some how i can make it back for a couple of games, but it doesn't seem likely since we will be M2s!

Have fun with that. Just make sure your parents have every possible piece of information handy, including 2007 taxes and how much everything is worth, the monthly payment for everything, how much they have in savings/checking altogether, and if you have any undergrad loans, how much you've paid off, when, etc. I believe it was Needaccess that wanted to know exactly how much I'd gotten in grants and loans in college.

Well, and we have ceramic tile floors in our bathroom which tend to be uneven.. you can move the scale around and get different readings.

i know what you mean, when i busted my knee for 11 weeks i was basically in my bed. it drove me crazy and i gained some weight. as soon as i was able to walk again i worked out and dropped all the weight. it feels really really good 👍
 
yeah i know. that's the best thing. everyone will like it if they just try.

i personally love sports, and hate sitting down and not doing anything. i like to be doing something always. and also working out your brain releases happy drugs. why people don't try it really confuses me and also people who say they don't like it

The scale that I have at home has these different profiles, and you can put a target weight into it... It'll track your weight every day, and for every 20% closer you get to your goal, you get a star. When you get 5 stars, you've reached your target weight! It's pretty funny. You can also program in your height and it'll calculate your BMI as well.

We have these scales here at work that are made by this company called Tanita that are pretty cool. They automatically calculate BMI for you and can also tell you body fat % using BIA (bioelectric impedance analysis).

You know, if you pay a zillion extra dollars, you can get an image of a balance board to make odd noises and force you to stand up straight and press buttons to get at the same information.:laugh:

Waiting was annoying. Fortunately,I don't have that issue anymore. I am however stuck on what post-interview schools to withdraw from.

I wouldn't take the daily readings too seriously. Your body weight tends to bounce around your average weight throughout the day/week. Weight loss, per the scale, may not indicate that you shed fat; it may that you have lost/gained water weight. Though I am guilty of weighing myself often, I only do it because it is a habit of mine and I ignore most of the readings.
