Nah, it's the real thing (as many a cleared up GI infection can attest to!). From what I was told, the World Health Organization distributes antibiotics and other medications to third world countries for free or cheaply. The prices are so cheap because most Indians cannot even remotely afford U.S. prices (and for many, medications are a luxury). As for children selling them, let's just say that safety regulations (in all spheres) in India are somewhat laxer than in the U.S. 😎

I sure did! No one at customs was concerned about medications I brought back. Funny story... last fall, I had pneumonia, but it had gone misdiagnosed at my walk-in clinic. I suspected that it was pneumonia, though, so I tried one of the cipro to see if it helped (cipro alleviates the infection temporarily)... and when it did, went back and got the right antibiotic. 😉

aww, I hope you get better soon. I don't know what your diagnosis is, but I'll tell you anything is better than mono. After I came down with the symptoms I pretty much slept 15hrs a day for close to 2 months and could not work out. At the time I only had time to eat, go to class, and sleep. 🙁

Can I have some? I usually get the munchies after having a drinking.

I'm home "sick" still... My shoulder and neck are still hurting. It's worst in the morning. 🙁 So I'm sitting on phone books to keep my arm at a more comfortable angle.

I can also only sleep in one position, which means in the morning, one side of my face is puffy and swollen. I find this pathetically amusing.

Some of the dietetics students in my graduate program were saying that they saw them marching in some of the rural areas where they were doing parts of their internship. OK, that's actually terrifying.

In other news, today is another day, and another chance for me, anotherface, druzie, and chad to all get acceptances to Columbia . Let the woman dream, ok? Thanks.

I've never done it for that reason. I feel like if I'm going to actually spend money on a movie (rather than watching it on DVD or Netflix or something), then it should be less about the movie and more about going to see it with friends, family, girlfriend, etc.

The antibodies are (hopefully) binding to yesterday's bunch. I'll find out in a couple of hours. Yesterday's antibodies were a new batch I just made, so hopefully they don't suck...

Guys I have a question: Ok I'll shoot!...😀

I am still waiting to hear back from my dream schools (should hear within the next 1 to 3 weeks...), but I am also on waitlists at a few schools that I would also love to attend. A couple of these schools have explicitly stated they DO NOT want any other supporting documents sent (including LOI's); however, I have heard that in the past people have personally called and made contact with the dean/asst dean of admissions.

If I were interested is pursuing this route how would I initiate communication with the dean without being so forward about my status?
