Haha, I like how we're each trying to convince each other to go to Baylor now 😛. I liked my interview day at Baylor, too. I loved the buildings - they were just gorgeous. The only school competing with it building-wise is Mayo.

Hehe, and you won't actually have to work too hard to get me unless I get off UTSW's waitlist 😉 Plus it would be nice to go somewhere and KINDA know a handful of people (even if it's only online 😛). You're lucky to have so many great choices, but I'm definitely hoping you make the (right) choice to come to Baylor 🙂

I just got back home. Got lost in the middle of nowhere for 2 hours. Remembered the movie, Vacancy. Creeped myself out. Found my way back. But forgot my phone 😡

Otherwise, fun trip.

this thread is the only thread I post in in pre-allo, it's the only thread I even read. I don't post in many new threads I just look at my subscriptions. I also post in the secondary app threads for 5 schools or so and that's about it.
 
Also, maybe there are a bunch of new people just starting their application process who haven't simmered down yet that's leading to this belligerence... *shrug*

I don't understand why anxiety about academic/professional success should lead to belligerence. By that logic, everyone in med school will be belligerent. 🙁

How many times do you think you can use the word belligerent before it starts to feel awkward?

I don't think it makes EVERYONE belligerent... just some of the n00bs may be feeling it a bit more than usual right about now.

And if you have to ask, I'd say belligerent is probably starting to be a bit awkward 😛
 
SDN and all the repetitive wacko-ness ("OMG Canz sumbudies call XYZ med ant ask mah qwestin? I'vahad calzd 20 timez todaisze!") have made me cynical. For the first time ever I was annoyed by every thread title I read...

I'm not sad about mayo anymore, hopefully I make the alternate list tomorrow though.

OMG! holy CRAP! I just had the most AMAZING cheesecake EVER!!!

it was one of those once in a lifetime things where all the forces join to make a perfect cheesecake. I just ate it.

I wish they taught us how to do cheesecakes for the MCAT. At least I'd still remember that info even after i took the dam test😀

I think the best I've ever had is the Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake at the Cheesecake Factory.

nope, but i'm trying it this week. I'm going to try to make it myself.

CHERRY DELIGHT

CRUST:

1 cube butter
1 c. flour
1 c. nuts

I mix butter and flour together with fork just like pie crust. Add nuts. Spread in bottom of 9x13 pan; press down with hands and bake 15-20 minutes at 350 degrees or until slightly brown.

FILLING:

1 (8 oz.) pkg. Philadelphia cream cheese
2 c. Cool Whip
2 c. powdered sugar

Mix together with electric mixer; spread over cooled crust.

TOPPING:

1 can cherry pie filling

You can make this any flavor you like.
For a Chocolate Four Layer Delight, do the same for the crust and filling and then spread 1 large package chocolate INSTANT pudding (prepared as directed on package) over the filling and top with Cool Whip. I like to then grate a Hershey bar over the top. Keep refrigerated. Lasts for weeks (if not eaten!).

Haha, I'm glad I'm not the only one who uses that adjective 😀

Whenever I bust that adjective out, my friends usually look at me funny, and then back away slowly... but it's a GREAT adjective!

Also, the irony is that I'm actually probably one of the biggest prudes among my circle of friends, yet I'm the one that uses the adjective 😀
