That's a good message to have. I bet you get an invite in the coming months. Hang in there! 👍
The day went pretty well. It was pretty short, and most of it was taken up by the tour and lunch with medical students. I've had 2 or 3 med-student-guided tours in the past, and I work on the campus everyday, so I didn't really learn anything new. It was still enjoyable although the weather was a bit dreary.
I feel like the interview went really well. My interviewer was a very nice, laid-back gentleman and it wasn't difficult at all. I didn't really get any hard questions (no ethics or healtcare in the US questions) and I feel like I answered the somewhat tricky questions well. Dr. Whitehurst-Cook told us that we should have our files presented to the admissions committee on Monday, so we should make the deadline for potential acceptances on October 16th. They send acceptances 10/16, 12/15, 2/1, and 3/15, so I'm hoping I get an early acceptance from them. It's a great school, right at home, cheap, and I would love to go there!
I've got to get to bed early tonight. I have to be at UMD by 8:30 tomorrow morning, but I'm driving up from Richmond in the morning. Hooray for 4 am commutes! I'm super excited about the interview though - Maryland is definitely near the very top of my list!
