I completely forgot that VCU needs need access before it gives scholarships... and apparently Dartmouth and UCLA require it also, if I do get accepted... I just finished it right now...

Oh and ever since my brother watched Slumdog, he has been exposed to many of the swear words in Hindi that my family would never dream of teaching him... So now he swears three languages🙁

But the good part is my dad heard him saying the most repeated line in Slumdog and got worried and had a discussion with him... so hopefully he will stop...

Seriously, I am in favor of corporal punishment... I remember I was beaten by a giant thick rubber strap since I accidentally said the f word in second grade... so as a result, I do not swear... Schools need to bring it back so that kids will clean up their potty mouths...

Wait whoa, was that rubber strap from a teacher? Or your parents?

For the record I disagree. Rewarding people for good behavior is much more effective than punishing them for bad behavior.

I remember reading study about rewarding kids for doing well in school that said that it was bad. Apparently, those who are rewarded do things for the wrong reason, and so when they are under pressure they easily give up and move on. Conversely, those who do well because they want to are more motivated and do better in the long run.

I was thinking more about for disciplinary issues, like chores, talking back, etc. But maybe I'm wrong.

It was from a teacher... I for 1st and 1/2 of 2nd grade, I did not go to school in the US... so corporal punishment was allowed...
 
Oh and Hi Myuu or Yoda, which ever one of you wakes up first... I started reading and kept reading until I finished the book, which is why I am still awake at this time...pondering about what I really am accomplishing in life etc...

I should go to bed now...

I was lazy this morning, after being up from 3-4:30 with the weather 🙂scared🙂. I got up at like 7, and I normally leave my house at 715 :laugh:

I was only 5 minutes late to work! 🙂

After our first one died, we decided we couldn't bear to be without one again. Ever since then we've had two about 4 years apart in age. Mom swears these are the last two but I doubt it :laugh:

It's too bad that his vocals really aren't that good. Seriously, of the guys left in the competition, he's one of the worst two.

But he's got a great story and definitely has passion.
