Class of 2013!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
So I just got my graded PChem test back today..and have to take another one on Wed on some stuff that we will be going over on that wed morning...Tell me how does that make sense?

all your guys' talk about stem cells and other sciencey things makes me nervous...basically because i realized i forgot everything already =( ungh!

don't worry, you don't learn science in med school, only medicine 🙂

well...they kinda assume we know nothing on the first day anyways, right?

cuz i really really really dont wanna spend any of my remaining days of freedom reviewing basic science stuff.

I think the only useful things to learn/review/prestudy are anatomy and physiology. It's definitely not essential, but you might wish you did if you don't do it.

actually--i was more concerned with molecular bio and biochem stuff. ive done Supp Inst. and tutoring for A&P so i dont fear em like I fear super advanced, graded on a curve against geniuses, medical Molecular and Cellular Biology and Biochemistry.

I don't think studying that stuff is really useful, b/c med school is so clinical that a lot of the coursework is different, which puts people pretty much on an even footing there, but A&P are definitely the most challenging courses during most people's first year, at least IMO. That and neuro of course.

perhaps because of 3 hour long neuro lectures by any chance?

(I sat through two hours of it last year through some outreach program organized by c/o 2011, john lectured part of it)

the lectures are pretty painless really, they aren't ever 3 hours (although I kinda wish they were)

at least last year, like half the class skipped (that's how they could fit so many of us undergrads in the lecture hall)

yeah that's pretty normal for all lectures though.

i should go sit in on some physiology lectures just for fun then. my m/w/f mornings are completely open.

free medical school ftw

we only have neuro till the end of the year, if you went, harting would probably call on you.

That is all 😀

I'm seriously never gonna catch up with Berk at this rate.

And it's bedtime.

Gah.

quantum mechanics is confusing...its just a bunch of little symbols thrown together in some random equation. I SWEAR it is, dont try to convince me otherwise😀

I want to throw a brick through their window...
Why?

Yup, which is why as I have always stated, friends don't let friends major in chemistry...

even if he doesn't know my name? damn....

yeah, he'll walk up to you and ask you what your name is, or ask the person next to you, and if no one knows who you are, you're f-ed for sure haha

actually, he does know my name lol, but he probably forgot by now. I met him several times this past summer at the nat and at MSC.

didn't know his last name was harting, he only told me his first name was john.

Good morning...

It is still warm (60 degrees), although it feels like more, but I am sniffly, because of the fan blowing in my face... Oh well...time to exorcise...
