Ahh, I see. Best of luck with getting everyone on the same page! I'm doing well, just trying to graduate now...haha. Easier said than done, I have to write a 30 page thesis in the next month or so. bad times! Can't wait to relax for awhile this summer before all hell breaks loose in August 😀

Anything new with you?
 
We also had a Phatasias and a Ramoth. I thought that was interesting.

And a girl named Karenina who pronounced her name "Karina". Just totally dropped that middle syllable there (I mean who needed it anyway).

I have a takehome final due in 22.5 hours that's confusing as heck (good thing I only have to get a 46% on it).

Also, my sister has a friend called Janine Smith who can't figure out why no one can pronounce her name correctly ("ha-nee-nay").

I mean, she can pronounce it however she wants, but, uh, to be surprised that no one can figure out how to pronounce it...?

I cannot figure out why people cannot pronounce my name. It is spelled very phonetically...
 
Howard COA is about 55K. I hear thats not too bad for a private school.

:laugh: Good luck with your exam. For some reason, I always psych myself out on those kind of tests where you just need a super low score to pass and end up scared about it.

My thesis is on how global climate change is projected to affect the global distribution of malaria. I thought it would be an interesting topic and it hasn't disappointed so far.

She is in school getting her Master's in Public Health, so she won't be moving out to DC until June 2010. So for this first yr I am going to be living with some of my classmates.

I've goofed around with some calligraphy pens (fountain pens) that my mom has; I can't figure out how to get the ink to flow smoothly from the nib. I think it takes a lot of practice to be able to write with fountain pens... The only pens I use anymore are ballpoints/rollerballs. I guess I occasionally use micron archival pens (.01 and .03), which are pretty incredible (will NEVER bleed/smear) but seem to run out of ink fast. I stopped using gel pens b/c they bleed/smear a lot, so I have a collection of 50-100 of them that will probably never see paper again.

Yeah. The apts that I am going to live in are in Hyattsville, MD and they are right across the street from the metro. I was also told that the apts are only 5.8 mi from the school.

Oooh, very nice! 😀 Cheap all-day parking, too (not that you'll need it)--the metro station I live close to charges 4.50 for all-day parking. 😛
