I found a bat in my apartment this morning now I think my wife and I have to get f***ing rabies shots. F***.
 
Yikes, sorry ! at my univ if any injured bats were seen we would get frantic emails saying "an injured/dead bat was seen outside of the gebauer building today,IF YOU HAVE TOUCHED THE ANIMAL PLEASE SEEK IMMEDIATE ATTENTION AT THE STUDENT CLINIC" this happened a couple of times a year. Still don't know why people would just willingly touch them...

Never ever tried coffee? It can be an acquired taste. I've loved it all my life (one of my earliest memories is sipping my mother's mug of coffee and loving it) and I actually just like how it tastes, so I'll happily drink decaf, except decaf often tastes worse. But I'll drink the instant stuff sometimes too so obviously quality only vaguely matters to me. :laugh:

We have fruit bats back home in Ghana and they're actually kind of cute... Their faces are a bit fox-ish.

Oooh, speaking of foxes, have you guys seen the domesticated foxes from that long study in Russia? I want one! (Rather, I want a rich animal loving friend who will buy one so I can visit it).

That's what I was told about beer too...its a like. I still think it tastes like crap!! Some just not as bad as others, but any food or beverage that requires "getting used to" isn't worth the effort.

Point being, coffee is still gross in my book. Me, AZN, and BD2B will be the only ones not drinking it (read: IV pumping the caffeine straight into your system during on-call nights)

No, but I have perfectly ordinary wild red foxes running down my streets.👍

The project also investigated breeding vicious foxes to study aggressive behavior. These foxes snap at humans and otherwise show no fear.

I think it has to do with the time between the initial post and the edit. Or if you write a reason for editing it will allways say edit.

Beer is definitely an acquired taste. I hated it initially, but now I'm just used to it.

Coffee doesn't particularly taste bad, but it doesn't do anything for me so why even bother?

...and guys are the ones who say beer is great, not girls. I think this is a pretty interesting phenomenon. I don't think that its because the sense of taste is any different between genders, you guys just have to tough it out to fit in better and still have something to do when watching football games. Your definition of crappy taste is just lower than mine :laugh:

I drink beer, I can endure it. I just won't go jump for joy when someone offers me one.

Pardon the gross generalization if you completely disagree with me.

I love Mexican beer (dos, corona) and the rest is just ok. I have noticed the gender/beer issue as well....but is it bc men are expected to "man up" and drink it, therefore acquiring the taste for it ?

No joke, I was really scared when I had to catch the thing. It was way scarier than it was difficult, for sure. It didn't even try to get away, but probably because it was so fat from drinking my blood all night. I couldn't find any bite marks on myself, but it just freaks me out... and I know that bats have analgesic saliva.

Yea, Madison and Ann Arbor are probably two of the nicer small cities to live at in the midwest. I've never been to AA but I was told that it is exactly like madison.
