To Do List:

1)Go over molecular bio notes for my midterm tomorrow. I am taking this class, because one of my friends is taking it... I found out, that I do not need it to graduate

2) Finish Thesis.. it is getting there...

3) Try not to get sick... I got 3 hrs last night, and I fell asleep while transcribing notes, so I am freshish now...
Oh well, I am also slightly sniffly, due to lack of sleep...I can just freak people out, say it is the swine flu and get some pity from my professors...

Yeah, at that point it would be super awesome of your family to cover the rest, but that's way too much money. PLUS loans are the next step, even though they absolutely suck. They amass interest while you're in school [at 7.8%(?) no less]. Then when you're done with school there's no standard grace period, though they have work in so that you can forgo payments for a certain amount of time. While this sucks, it was has to be done. I've come to a place of acceptace (made my way through the grieving process), it costs a lot of mula to become a doctor, but, like everyone tells you, the end will justify the means.

Unsubsidized Stafford loans also accrue interest while you're in school.

Stanford pulled something similar with regards to P/F for m3/m4, except in addition to incoming students, they pulled it on their current M1's. Ouch.

All the californian gunners who chose stanford so that they can put their guns away until residency will need to get their weaponry ready for M3.

Everyone gets federal loans though, unless you're independently wealthy. It amuses me when schools try to say that's an "award."

Well, I mean if they are at minimum subsidized institutional loans with good interest rates or that don't accrue until post school/residency...but the federal loans are our right dammit!

MCW institutional loans are supposedly subsidized for med school + residency, which is awesome! Not sure how much of it they give us though. HOPEFULLY at least 20k
