Wouldn't be impossible to figure out I think. How fast is he running (in mph)?

lets see thats roughly 6 hours a day...say you run 7 mph...and burn 120 calories a mile..840calories/hour times 6 hours=5040...then add your resting metabolic rate or whatever....7000 calories a day??? maybeish.
So...when you werent running or sleeping you would have to be eating..haha.

On average 7:15 minutes a mile, so that's 8.3 miles a hour.

Michael Phelps eats a ****load of calories a day, isn't it like 6000/day??

Rule of thumb is about 100 calories to a mile so lets just say 8 miles a hour, so 800 calories a hour, multiply that by 8 for one day, 6400 calories. Resting metabolic rate is prob about 1500-2000? So yeah you have to eat more than 9000 calories just to have the energy/maintain weight. 😱

I think he eats like 11k a day haha

arm wrestling ftl...

Nice, sounds like it's pretty competitive... I mean, when you put two large groups of type A people together, what do you get?

If roadrunner smokes pot..haha

Haha, I'm clean 😛 But it did help explain Phelps' voracious appetite... Pete's Grill ftw.

Nice.

Well, if you want to do nothing in your day besides running, eating, and sleeping it's nice, I guess...

I really don't think I could run 8 hours in a row even once. No way. My legs would cramp up permanently and I would be a cripple for life.
Ironman....welll thats swim, bike, and run..but still.

lol it would just take a month before you could get out of bed again.

Haha, I'm nothing compared to DrMattOglesby, who is my hero. He posted his times on facebook from his 1/2 tri yesterday. Pretty beastly.

I might be able to handle swimming a couple miles in open water, but I suck at cycling... my quads would be destroyed by the time I attempt to do the run at the end.

yeah lol...tris are all about pacing yourself...unless its a sprint..in which case its balls to the walls 85% max heart rate, all the way through.

WHat were his times...he looks crazy fast.

damn...I think the most impressive to me, is that swim split. 1:16/100 for 1.2 miles is damn fast.

My sister has decided to name her first-born daughter "benadrille".

😉

haha...imma let random ppl name my kids..Im hoping to have 15 or so.

Ah yes, I remember. With the 20 mothers...

I'm still waiting to hear how you're gonna have one of the babymomma's pop out a half-kid.

hmm. with a name like tucker I don't see how he's getting much action but what do I know.

You could do what my ex wanted to do -- have 11 kids and 1 extra for "spare parts".

By the way he is my ex for MANY reasons.

I came across that guy's book in the bookstore a while ago and read through a few chapters. It's hilarious in a horrible way, lol. The one where he hooked up with a fat chick through his website... damn, that's ****ed up.

time to pretend to get some exercise.

Peace y'all.

ironman sounds ridiculous... my preceptor did the full one here, it took him like 11 hours but that's still impressive to even be able to finish it... 😱

is that the guy who had the "astroglide problem"?

I'm kind of bored and a little sick.

Sounds like a good time to catch up on my TV show watching.

11 hours is actually pretty damn fast. The pros go like 8.5-9

totally cool with it RR! I'm way happy with those results and am proud of 'em!

for the record, that was my first time swimming in a wetsuit...and I felt incredibly buoyant, which may have given me a psychological boost too (maybe by lowering my perceived level of exertion?).

I agree w/ Chubb's later post; 11hrs in the IronMan is smokin'! your preceptor is a balla'!
