Class of 2013!!!

Oh, and Vandy was amazing, but the interview was actually way more stressful than I thought it would be. I didn't have QUITE as good a conclusion as Serikk did 🙂 but I loved the school, it was an honor to even be there.

Aww LET...I'm sorry your interview didn't go as well as you hoped!
The school was AMAZING! My interview was ok. Not as good as serikk's, but not horrible. Very, very nice interviewer!

Oh it's alright, I'm really overdramatizing, it wasn't bad, it just wasn't as great as I'd hoped/expected it to be. The first thing the interviewer said when I walked in was "with you, let's shake things up a bit"...it all was rather questionable from then on 😀
 
you know what they say LET...when you don't think you did well on the interviews, you get the acceptance, so you never know! we just have to wait till the 15th. at least there's no way we'll get rejected 😛

btw berken, i cant look at the dates could you tell me what the earliest dates are...i wanna get the earliest date as possible, but I also wanna submit good essays, grrr.

Maybe ill shoot for getting done by saturday morning.....that way i have all of my pathetic friday night to work on it!!

Originally I didnt appl ythere...but then I was reading up on the school and it seems awesome so I applied about 3-3.5 weeks ago..and my mom called me up to day, telling me she got the beloved interview invite letter!!!

It won't let me see the available dates because I already scheduled! But they interview every MTThF and there are up to 14 people in each interview group. So, there are probably a lot of openings in October and a few in some september dates.

You guys are FREAKIN AWESOME!!!!! GEEEEEEEZZZZZZZZ!!!!!!!! I am slightly jealous of you guys but I will get over it. You guys are cool, it will be an honor to be apart of 2013 with yall. That includes Grad, Serrik, LEE, Loss, Chad, everybody else(sorry I forgot all the names!)

Everything else is good. I have 3 weeks before my next interview, so not much is going on for me. I got a UMich interview invitation the night before my Vandy interview, which was amazing!!!
How about you, bison? How's everything going?

So, being my neurotic self and bored at work, I decided to do a bit of statistics with the schools that I've received interview invites to. According to the USNews data for interviewed/accepted for my status (IS or OOS) from Class of 2011, I have a 97.92956% chance of getting accepted to at least one school! :soexcited:

Of course, I still have to nail my interviews, but it makes me feel a bit better about my application now!

Woohoo! 6th interview invite (and two in two days!) Albany Medical College!!!!

Does anyone have their admissions data (Applied/Interviewed/Accepted/Matriculated)? USNews doesn't have it, I'm not sure about the MSAR...
 
I got an interview invite today, too! NYMC, it's my 3rd... soooo excited! 😀

Hey 2013!! Congratulations on all the success, the interview invites and the great interviews! LET- I'm sure your interview went just fine 😉 I've been so busy this week I haven't even had time to stop in here and say hey! I'm getting ready for my first interview a week from Friday, and I think Grad described the feeling best with the adjective "nervousexcited." That's exactly how it feels 🙂

Mine went AMAZING! 👍👍 Even got an extended tour of some of the hospitals I haven't gotten to see before, including the Children's Hospital and the Women's & Infants... and the NICU! (*droooool*).

May I have my ticket to Hollywood now? :laugh::laugh:

I got mine from US News. For example, if a school in Virginia interviewed 400 in-state applicants and accepted 300, I would list the probability of getting accepted to that school as 0.75. Then I just calculated the probability of NOT getting accepted anywhere and subtracted that from 1.

Well, judging from your profile, I'd say absolutely nothing is wrong. You've got an extremely high chance at Brown, and I'm sure you're just a "slow starter" for whatever reason, but trust me, you have NOTHING to worry about!!!

i agree with let...you've got nothing at all wrong with your app. who cares when you get the acceptance as long as you get it! you're going to do great.

That's a clever idea but the thing is that each interview is not independent (like for example if you suck at interviewing), so you can't just multiply the probability of acceptance from the interviews. Still though, I'll give you credit for that, it probably gives a good rough estimate.
