Thanks! I'm finally starting to get excited. With all the active hurricanes in the last month, I wouldn't allow myself to get too excited before it was time to go. Now that it's looking really plausible that it's going to actually happen, I'm getting excited 🙂

And booh for my crappy one. Also, I got two "you're URM so you'll get in everywhere" comments on MDApps this week. I mean...I just got rejected from 2 schools. What about that are people envious of?! Plus ugh those people bug me on principle...

I haven't had an invite since... August 22nd? I'm definitely in agreement with the ick week. It hasn't been crappy, yet, but definitely at least ick. Where are my other interviews?

Of course, I didn't apply to nearly as many places as some of you, so I guess that could be part of it... 🙁

Ugh, those people are ridiculous. We all had to work our rears off to get to where we are. There are not short cuts here. They are blasphemous and need to stop "hating!" I wish you the best though, maybe next week will bring nice things.

OMG! I got a comment that said "remember when you're sitting for those interviews that you're there because you're urm." How mean is that?! 😡 I was in shock when I read it... people can be really envious/jealous/mean i guess... i feel bad for them.

Well, if every cycle someone starts a thread about how taller applicants get more love than shorter applicants, I'm guessing it's not much of a stretch for someone to claim something like this. 🙄

Ha I know I honestly feel so guilty wishing for more good things when I've already been so lucky but still...there are 19 schools out there that are IGNORING ME!!!! WWWWHYYYY!??!!! Anyways, hopefully no news is good news. How's your process going?!

Hey, I think I'm going to be at UMiami on your interview day 🙂 Just remember when you're sitting for your interview day I'll be thinking good thoughts for us both :luck::luck::luck:. Maybe that will counteract some of the negativity...

LOL - I don't think it was that... Really it's just a bad song to include in the show. No one in my cast can sing it like it's supposed to be sung. I'm over it - it gives me more of an opportunity to really work on my other solos. 👍

Yeah, I get nasty comments every once in a while. I got one last week that was like "you love SDN too much and I would hate for you to be my doctor." I just laughed. Honestly, do people really think they can judge us based on our participation in an online internet forum?

Don't worry about the MDApps trolls. They aren't worth our grief.

I woke up on time, but in a Benadryl fog from last night, and still not feeling better. I really hope it's allergies and not the crud that's been going around my office (cold/sinus/cough/crap) cuz I don't wanna be sick for Tulane! It's never a good sign when 2-3 hours after medicine you don't feel any better than when you took it 🙁

Presentation in class tonight - those are always a blast. It's on work adjustment theory in career counseling and development. Joy, joy. Dear Lord, please don't make me finish this masters.... :laugh: Psych/Counseling just isn't nearly as interesting as MD studies.

Sitting in my DC hotel room, reading over GW website and interview feedback.. I'm SO excited for tomorrow! I keep reading about GW and I think I'm falling in love ... and I haven't even seen it yet. 😍 Little nervous though since it's my first interview!

don't pay any attention to that bull****...you worked hard and are doing great now because of it...people who leave rude comments like that are just insecure with themselves and obviously very immature about the world. all you need to do is your head high and impress those interviewers. they are the only ones that matter! 😀

Shock and awe... I can't believe I was selected as an OOS applicant - it was such a long shot! Too bad they scheduled me on 9/24 and I'll be coming back from Vermont then... and my next available dates (other than 10/1) are 10/29 and 11/3. I hope that a slightly later interview wouldn't significantly hurt my chances.

I have one more secondary to finish and all 23 will be in! I feel kind of behind, but some were turned in two months ago... =) I have been so busy, working full time at a new job, writing my thesis...

And compulsively checking my email. I have gotten one interview but have not heard from anywhere else... I know its early, but I just feel soooo nervous....

I just got an email back from Maryland and they rescheduled me for 10/1. I'm so relieved because that date is perfect for me and it's only one week after my assigned interview date. I wonder if they added the 9/24 date at the last minute since previous interview invites have been for 10/1. I can't wait to visit the school again - IMO it has one of the best urban campuses on the east coast! 😍

Hey all! Hope you're having a great day. Mine is mixed. I just realized that I booked the wrong return flight for my Dartmouth interview next week and that fixing in will cost me over 200 bucks 🙁. Oh well, it's fee for being stupid. On the other hand, I finally became complete at Yale! (SS: 7/10, C:9/19) Wow that took a long time.
