But my Turkish class complicates things because it is at the same time that mol-micro lab is, so I will have to end up taking biochem lab... Ahh...so it's not that big of a deal if you have to take the biochem lab...I still hope you don't!

Same here. I technically have a third lab class which was also a writing class, so maybe I can petition for it to count as my third quarter of lab. I hear there is a 50 page lab report at the end of the class for biochem lab...😱

Hmm. I don't know. I think one of the schools I applied to required some "upper division chem course with a lab". Vanderbilt for example doesn't accept AP credit at all and I actually took no other upper-division chem courses with lab.

I think I had to use it for Pitt, too, but I might be wrong about that.

We'll just have to see. I'm pretty torn right now, so I'm going to give myself plenty of time to think about it. Given that I was rejected last cycle, I don't feel so bad taking some time to make a good decision...😀

anyone else finding it incredibly difficult to stay motivated? i just want to read sdn and chill instead of writing this lab report that's due tomorrow.

I agree, I have two weeks of Turkish homework due tomorrow, but I keep reading SDN while listening to "Its Not My Time" on Autoplay...

Uhhh, apparently the TA's and professors graded my genetics midterm in less than 12 hours! I am too afraid to check my grade...

I caved in, checked my grade, and it was proportional to the amount I studied for... which was not much 🙁 Eh, I need to study more for the next one, which unfortunately is on my b-day...

Back to homework...

Wassup FunkyDoc! It is going good. Just getting more and more geeked up as the day gets closer. Reading everything I can about Drew. I am ready, but I am going to continue reading and get more ready so I can really blow their minds! That would be tight if we were classmates. Hey, it could happen. If, or lets just speak it in faith and say, when you get in, would you go?

I really hope adcoms are not reading this, but if I get into LA, I would drop every other school in a heartbeat. I would go to 2 interviews, if they invited me though, the two being Emory and Penn... I have always wanted to visit the campuses.

But yah, blow them away at the interviews. And I hope it goes better than mine did...🙄

Oh, I put that when I am expressing my interest in a specific school, so that I do not get rejected by the other schools that I applied to...

I was asked hard healthcare policy questions, and I think I started mumbling about what my opinion about healthcare was... Oh well, maybe it did not go as poorly as I thought. Thanks for your vote of confidence.!
 
hey dso you guys ever worry about that? i mean there are adcoms on this forum. what if some of them saw us at interviews and see what we say here, make the connection and reject us?!!?

I watch what I say, but I watch what I say in general. So it's not that big of a difference for me. My facebook and SDN account is fairly clean.

I think it can be a little hard to figure out who people are specifically if you're careful about it. That's why SDN warns against putting too much personal info out there (and why you see so many people deleting/abandoning accounts).

Oh yeah, there's at least one adcom who knows my sn.

I try to keep things as anonymous as possible. I don't know if I succeed, though. But also, I've tried to refrain from posting "my first choice" or "my last choice" (which I haven't really decided on, anyway).

My facebook is 100% clean (there are no pictures of me holding any item that might be construed as a cup of any sort) and it's private as well (for good measure).

There's only so much one can do, I guess.

I am not sure... I just say that for good measure... Most of the time, it is just in jest...

In other news, if you guys watch Grey's Anatomy (don't start pelting me with stones) I saw Jeff Perry, the actor who plays Meredith's dad, exercising at the UCLA track. 😱I wanted to say something but I did not want to be one of those annoying people who disturbs actors while they are trying to live their lives...

I'm not a big fan of Grey's, I have to admit.

Did you guys see that last episode with the kidney transplant? I mean, c'mon now. The cheating husband would have gotten his kidney with or without his wife's donation!

And the lesbian sideplot...👎 <-- It's not going anywhere.
 
Yeah that whole lesbian thing is really turning me off of the show. I really like Grey's but that is terrible.

On a side note, the guy who plays chief weber, I think it is James Pickens, he goes to my church. I wanted to say something to I told myself, "be cool baby, he is just an actor".

Wow, that is awesome... I was feeling the same way, which is why I did not say anything... plus I was frazzled and sweaty after running, which is not a pleasing sight.:laugh:

When I was in NYC, me and a couple of friends (you know who you are 😉) saw Anthony Edwards (Dr. Green from ER) walking his dog on the upper east side. That was pretty cool - it's a sign we're going to be accepted to our dream schools in NYC, right? :laugh:

I stopped watching Grey's after the season 2 finale. Any show in which they shut down an entire hospital to hold a prom should be against the law. I mean, do people actually believe this stuff?
