Rock the vote tomorrow guys! Remember, if you don't vote you can't complain!!

started cleaning house today. its gonna get much worse before it gets better. I've got abt three weeks or so to move. I'd rather just get it over with though. I HATE moving..

Wow, maybe this time I'll vote for someone who will win.

Vandy waitlist= kind of expected...🙁

LOL I know how you feel, so far every presidential candidate I have voted for has lost. (This is my 3rd presidential election voting)

this is my second but i hope my guy wins this time. last time, though, i think my vote got thrown away. they mysteriously couldn't find my registration on election day and i had to provisional vote . not cool

I decided Im not gonna vote...whos with me?

But you live in a swing state... It actually matters for your state! Latest polls say that NC just went Red... You cannot let that happen... unless that is the reason you are not voting...

well, said fdm. i used to be in NC and kinda wish i was there for this election. my vote would mean more. oh well.

this is my 2nd presidential...

who's a pres. voting virgin? 🙂

meee, I was 17 last time around. You guys should all vote if you have the chance...It doesn't matter for who. At the very least you'll add to the number of young people voting which helps politicians know we pay attention to what they are doing, and that our age group also holds them accountable for their actions in office. They'll be more likely to support our interests!!

It means something in Maryland doesn't it?

well, not really. i mean, of course my vote is a vote. but, maryland has gone democratic in every election since 1960 except for 3. and reagan doesn't really count cause i feel most states chose reagan. where i grew up (in the mountains) and on the eastern shore it is fairly conservative, but as a state, i'd be surprised if it wasn't a blue landslide. since i'm a democrat, my vote won't count nearly as much here as it would in nc.

i'm actually still registered there as well (Looong story), but am voting in MD. part of getting in-state classification and whatnot

Yea, Maryland is pretty set on Obama. The middle of the state- D.C. suburbs like PG and MoCo, and B-more and surroundings are the most populated and mostly democratic.

You should still vote though! Let it be a landslide!

Oh, no doubt. I will be voting. I wouldn't miss it. 😀

I'm going to vote, but it doesn't really matter. No matter what I do, McCain is going to win my state, and no matter what my state does, Obama is going to win the whole thing so meh.

Ha ha. Same here. At least I can feel good for performing my role as a citizen.

Hello there folks!

Hey BD2B, how is everything going?

Its going good. Just at work chillin. Waiting to get off. Another hr and a half. Congrats of your invite! You are racking them up!

Heres my take on voting and why I dont do it

1) the chance that my vote actually effects something on the national level is like 10^-8...so me standing in line two hours to have some 12 year old hand me a ballot is not worth it.

2) People say when you vote you are doing the morally right things...that is complete Bull****. Most people are idiots and ignorant on 95% of the issues, so does that mean those idiots have a moral obligation not to vote??

3) It doesnt matter whos president, very little will change
4) the electoral college is dumb

5) and finally just because the majority of america things X guy should be president, doesnt mean thats the right decision, in fact the majority of america is ignorant on most of the issues.

Idk, maybe thats just my cynical side coming out.

Wow, I love you. You already knew that though.

well even though my vote doesnt mean much in NY, i will be voting tomorrow. first time! and i figure if everyone starts thinking that their votes wont mean much bc their state is always blue or whatever and they dont vote, then watch one fine day the state switch totally unexpectedly bc the other side cared enough to get out and vote ... thats my fear lol

Those are all good points for the Presidential election, but my state has one of those "close call" senate races. Smaller voting pool means my vote has more of an impact. Still a basically negilgible impact, but less negligible than in the presidential election.

Hehe, redrumi, this is only my second time voting. I barely missed the 2000 election by a year or so I think. Less than a year, actually.

funky, you can vote at age 20...I guess maybe I was a little confused by your post. 😕 You're voting, right?

Don't worry Chubs, IMHO, I think it's perfectly acceptable not to vote if you're either conservative or libertarian .

Hooray for swing states (that will hopefully vote Obama 😉)

I agree with the bolded statement!

Don't worry pianola, I already voted: I turned in my absentee ballot in on Friday. Boo for not being able to actually go into the booths and vote, but yay for Interviews... I am psyched about Maryland! What I meant about being 20 was that last election, I was 17, so I was not able to vote. I was a poll worker in the 2004 Election however, albeit in the conservative Republican Orange County, CA, but I still think I made a difference. Too bad, I cannot work as a poll worker this year, but oh well.

I'm not voting. My state would go to Barack unless Chicago blew up. And my vote would admittedly be a bit uneducated. I have stances on issues, but no one issue would make me vote one way or another. Etc. etc other rhetoric for not wanting to vote. I just don't care that much, what can I say?

Amph, you are hilarious!

hmm..idk what I am, id say im leaning more towards apathetic😉...btw NC is gonna go McCain, im pretty sure of it...alot of the undecided will vote Mccain just bc that racial barrier still exists down here, but I still dont think NCs 15 electoral votes or whatever will get mccain elected over obama

Ooooh, I have a funny video for you guys but I can't get it to send it to my e-mail address any more 🙂confused🙂. Does anyone have the link to that CNNBC video? It's REALLY funny. If not, I'll probably post the link later this evening.

And, don't forget, guys: Free Starbucks and Ben and Jerry's tomorrow.
