Apparently a bunch of places are giving away free stuff to voters,

Seattle-based Starbucks (Nasdaq:SBUX) said it is giving away a free "tall" 12-ounce cup of coffee to anyone who votes. Winston-Salem-based Krispy Kreme (NYSE:KKD) is giving away star-shaped doughnuts and Vermont-based Ben & Jerry's is offering free scoops of its ice cream Tuesday.

Yup. That's why I'm holding onto my sticker as "proof" I voted. 😀

well damn my place did not give any stickers... and it was mostly old people there too.. not the chicest of neighborhoods in brooklyn lol

i'm pretty sure the places will be cool with it, just go and say i voted ... hopefully they will give you free stuff, if not you didn't lose anything by doing it

I just read that Starbucks had to change their offer to give a free "tall" coffee to everyone, not just people who voted. Apparently it's considered a felony to give someone something on the condition that they vote...

yeah, heh, I had to give my voter registration today.

Haha, I'm suing for pain and suffering 😉

By the end of the month. Just an in-town move, moving in with the folks to save money. 👍

However, its one of those moves that has to be carefully coordinated because a lot of my stuff will just stay packed til I move to med school in July.

Smart idea... but isn't it bad to keep things packed for 8 months?

Ah, dang it, I forgot my pjs at home...😡

i've had some things packed for 3+ years now sitting at my parents place... it depends what you are packing

Yeah, I still have a box labelled "kitchen stuff" from when I moved back from college. Pretty excited that I have one less box to pack up when I get my move on.

heyo guys. what's crackalackin tonight?

heyo guys. what's crackalackin tonight?

Waiting for tomorrow in Baltimore. Yay, for UMD! I am also angry because I forgot to bring my pjs and it is too cold to lounge around in boxers...😱

Oooh, don't you tempt me! I'm trying to be all political-like tonight!

I figure that it will not matter whether I am watching the news or watching House... the result will still be the same...

that is a hard decision... i chose politics bc i watched tons of house earlier today

I watched the plane go from the west coast to the east coast, so I prefer House. I did get to see WALL-E in the plane today though. It was very good!

i tried to get my friends to turn the TV to the most unbiased news channel i know...ESPN.
they wouldn't go for it

gl!
and yeah, i hate when i travel and forget athletic shorts. nothing worse than not having comfortable clothes to just chill in

Well, congrats guys.

I'll join the support/congratulations party on inauguration day. For tonight, I'll allow myself a few moments. 🙁

My only statement: May God be with our new president, and may he follow in His footsteps.

Just got back from celebrating! GO OBAMA!

Wow, so many people are going to be inspired, and the world is actually going to like us for a change!!! I can't wait!

morning!
I can't believe the number of students that were partying on green st last night after Obama's speech.

on another note, i had a dream that i had a big envelope from uic. i cried tears of joy in my dream. then i woke up. 🙁

rj, don't give up hope. Remember, today is the day for change. Hopefully that means lots of interview invites for you!

rjpark, im sorry... but it may come!!!

and yes!!! man so happy last night. opened the champagne and celebrated....i must say that mccains speech was very good.. made me feel bad for the guy and kinda like him, sort of lol.... what a crazy, historic day eh? we all have so much hope and expectation for obama though... he has a lot to live up to and i hope he does not disappoint...

Another day, another dollar.

Good luck at your interview funkmonk!

Hey guys! 🙂

Hope everyone is having a fantastic morning. It's wednesday... I'm sleepy. But all is well. May this be the POSITIVE change we've been looking for.

good morning to a great day! regardless of how he does as president, obama has already broken so much new ground!

Heh, ar2388, I was hearing about the party on Columbia's campus from my sis (she's an undergrad -- senior). She said the entire campus just went absolutely nuts (in a good way of course 😉).

I just got to work not that long ago. I'm doing the mid-day to night shift today. Kinda sucks that it will have been dark for 3 or more hours already by the time I get home. 🙁

That's a neat shift.. I think I'd like that. Later mornings!

It's a mixed blessing. If you don't make yourself wake up at a decent hour, all you end up doing is sleeping and working until 8pm. Not exactly an exciting way to spend your days...

the worst for me is when i'm home over winter break and go back to working in the ED...shifts start at 6:45am and end at 7:15pm. I never see the sun all day👎

The 'burbs of Kansas City

Ahhh ok. You're not too for from KU, then! That's nice.

yeah i'm pretty pumped. i'm about 15-20 minutes from the campus (depending on traffic) which means i will probably be making regular trips home to watch the big screen and mooch free meals
