Wassup everybody. I wanted to stop by and say thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of your support. I am going to take a leave of absence from SDN until after my interview. So don't miss me too much, :laugh:. I am really excited about this and I honestly believe that everything is going to work for my good. I have faith and I believe that my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is going to turn this interview into an acceptance. He has put me here for a reason. I am supposed to leave on the 17th, but AECOM interview ends at 5, and I am not sure whether there will be a flight that I can make afterwards... oh well, it is winter break, I can stay another day...:laugh:

lol good luck getting a flight that late...especially since its likea freakin 2 hour trip to JFK...gah that sucked.

Lol..well if you PM me, I can tell you what I did.

Interviews have gone well, on average. Some better than others. Mostly im just playing the waiting game now, with loma LInda yet to be scheduled.

Will do. I am looking for flights right now before they get too expensive. Argh... I have to spend an extra day in New Hampshire cuz there are no flights back after the interview...
 
Has anyone else lost hope for more interview invites? I feel like this is pretty much it. Pianola gave me a little hope with her cornell invite 😛

Not at all! LizzyM posted last week her school still has somewhere between half to two thirds of their schools interview slots to hand out.

Not every school books all of their interviews up through Feb/Mar months in advance 🙂

It's not over yet! My best friend got interviews until February last year 🙂

We have plenty of time left to hear. Bet you hear from other places, berken 😀😀

I have trimmed my list down to 16 schools I am holding my breath for...

Yeah, at this point I'm waiting for Harvard and Hopkins :meanie::meanie: as two of my last 4. Haha, Harvard + Hopkins = never gonna happen. I'm pretty sure I'm nearly finished. Columbia and Penn are the other two question marks in my book.

Haha yeah...they're on my "it's never going to happen but maybe I'll be really, really lucky" list. Add the UCs and Stanford to that list.

UCLA and Emory here....it seems like emory is going pretty methodically according to completion date...If I dont get an invite in two weeks, i think ill just give up on them.

Yay! How does it work in Texas? Can you be accepted to several schools at once or do you match to one of your ranked choices?

It's weird and crazy. So in February, you match to one of your ranked choices. However, this is either the second or third year where schools can hand out pre-match offers, and they can do that anytime between tomorrow at 5:00 and 11:59 on 12/31. Some schools like giving out acceptances this way, and other schools will hold most of their acceptances for the match. Then by 1/15, students have to resolve their multiple acceptances (if they're fortunate enough to get them) and settle on one pre-match offer. Then if they still want to "move up" and get into a school that's higher up on their list, they can still do the match on 2/1 and see if they move up without jeopardizing the acceptance they already have in hand.

Actually, one school, the osteopathic one, has conveniently had a "glitch" on their status page (for the third year in a row 😉 ) that has let some people know they're going to be a doctor a little early, so there's a lot of celebrating in the Texas thread right now 🙂

Whoa. I'm kinda glad I didn't apply to TX schools now. It seems a little complicated.

Ha, I know how you feel. I'm waiting on 10 more, basically my biggest reaches...none of which are gonna happen. Seems like this cycle is over already! Whee!
