Thanks, but unfortunately for me, UCLA was my roughest interview... Why was it your roughest?
 
I actually just got into the school I had my roughest interview at, so I guess it doesn't always count much. 🙂 At this interview, I walked in chewing gum and had to swallow it right then and there. Then it took me over a minute to answer the question "What book have you read recently?"
 
I just got Wait LIsted at my top choice. Stinks. Have to wait till after May 15th to find out.... Grrr. Only one more interview to go as well.... I'd love another invite....

moutn sinai adcom should meet next week i think, based on waht they said during my interview. sooo i will start compulsively checking me email soon. if i get in, i will be withdrawing from at least BU.. 🙂 oh, the wait..

The waits are agonizing. Crossing my fingers that you get your #1, and you get it as soon as possible! Being finished with that part is great... although the wait to actually start is pretty agonizing too.
 
Wassup everybody. I am getting more and more excited as my trip to DC gets closer! How yall doing?
 
Out of superstition, I have avoided reading this thread at all up until this point. I walk into my apartment after a full day at work and 4 hours training to teach for Kaplan to find a nice fat packet from SUNY-Downstate.

It's only been 5 weeks since my interview and I was told not to expect a decision until 8 weeks, but here it was: my first acceptance! I'm sure when I have some downtime at work, I will get caught up (maybe not all 114 pages) with this thread, but I just wanted to report the good news and congratulate everyone with acceptances so far and best of luck to those still waiting! Keep your heads up 🙂

In other news, I am REALLY going to have to focus next semester.

December 13th!!! 😱 If I dont hear anything by mid next week im gonna call and politely request that they let me know of my status b/c I'd rather not have to pay the deposit if I dont have to. But I konw of others who have received the phone call on the weekend (both saturday and sunday) so maybe I'll hear something today or tomorrow 🙂

do you have a top choice? You applied to UCs didnt you? Or did I make that up?

edit: i now remember our convo about UCSD, so nevermind, haha.

I don't have a top choice yet. I just interview at all the places I love and will declare a top choice after finaid offers 😉

But, yeah, I did apply to UCs! I haven't heard back from UCI, UCD, or UCLA yet. Got a UCSF rejection. And a UCSD acceptance.

Well hey if you can get even 1 acceptance from a CA school you've gotta be doin something right!!!! Congrats!!!! I'm in the same boat as you for UCSF, still on hold at UCSD, havent even been given a secondary at UCLA, and didnt apply to UCD (now that i think about it i'm not sure why).

I am incredibly happy, now. Hopefully, you'll get the UCI acceptance soon and then we'll both have a UC acceptance! 👍

Tell me about it. Thats the biggest difference I see between MD and DO applications. DOs deposits in general are A LOT more expesnive and almost all are non refundable (altho there are a few that are not, but i'm pretty sure its b/c of a state law or something....i think its Touor-NV, but i may be wrong).

I am, although my parents wouldn't like it. I would not mind too much... at least I don't think I would.

I want a Cali acceptance also🙁, but I am EXTREMELY thankful for what I have.

What I am not thankful for is finals. Boo... Genetics is hard to study for... at least now I know that there is one residency I will NEVER think about pursuing... But it is my only real final...

On another note, I got an A- for writing a 7 page research paper the night before... NICE!

EDIT: Actually I should go back to studying for Genetics, since my final is on Tuesday and it is cumulative...and I did poorly on my midterms...🙁

HEY! You're not allowed to sulk! I'm sure you'll get the UCSD acceptance in May (which I know is late, but better than never) and UCLA hasn't even responded to you yet...so you still have a HUGE chance of getting accepted. :xf::xf::xf:

The smacking myself is actually from my sister... sorry berk but she tells me that whenever I am being thankless... she says that she got her first acceptance at the end of January, and I am sitting on 5 in the early part of december.

But Berk, you are reminding me cuz that's what she said. 😉

Edit: no pun intended with the last line or the smilie...
