And I might actually be class of 2014, too. Not because I'm going to defer for a year but I *might* take a year off to do research. Baylor's option to do that for a year sounds mighty sexy.

But I guess I don't even know if I"m going there yet, so I should probably stop speculating 😳.

Yup. I love the idea of looking around and finding a lab I can really enjoy. Talking to some of my other friends in the master's program here -- there are some REALLY miserable students and some really miserable PIs around here. PIs and students with no funding and no thesis, unable to graduate; PIs who exploit their students.

Having a couple of years to find a lab and contribute sounds great to me 👍. I'm sure it would be a strong rec letter (undoubtedly we'll need those for the match).

But yeah, I guess nothing's set in stone yet re: medical school because I still need to find out about financial packages.

I'm hoping to have that option too (CCLCM!)
