what's up ryserr. first five eight. yeah i played it too sometimes. it is cool you have to see the whole picture though it's very different from the wing much more planning though.

I was a loner as a kid, too, funky. Only they wouldn't let me in the library.

So I sat alone and chewed on my sandwich. 🙁

When I had a sandwich. Sometimes the kids would take my lunchbox and hide it. 🙁

I always ate lunch quickly and then they let us do whatever as long as it was at school. I guess Texas is more liberal about what kids do at lunch, since I was able to go to the library...


Wow, I think this is the first time that the phrase "Texas is more liberal" has been used, with out a not in between is and more:laugh:

But I had to deal with the creeps who would pretend to be nice to me one day and would be mean to me the next day🙁... I am surprised I like school considering the horrible treatment I received as a child... No wonder I never wanna do peds😱

Kids can be vicious, all right. I'm with OMBD, though. The youngest ones are the best. =) You can still give them some guidance on how to be GOOD and healthy.

seriously, kids actually do that? I never knew of any legitimate bully's in school. I mean there were always kids that didnt have a lot of friends, but i never noticed serious harassment/teasing. Thats so sad!

Yeah, part of it was due to my choice of elementary schools.

I got prank called a few times by one girl pretending to be another.

Holly: "pianola this is ***, you want to go to lunch with me tomorrow?"

Me: "Uh, this doesn't sound like ***"

Holly: *giggling in the background* "No, I sweeeear it's ***. Are ya gonna meet me for lunch?"

Me: "Whatever, Holly."

*hangs up*

Yes, "the littlest ones are the best". Plus, neo is intensive care, family practice. and every specialty you can think of combined (except surg... i'll let the fetal/peds surgeons do that) because none of the specialists wanna work on babies smaller than coke cans.

My perfect patients are their worst nightmare (or so it went when I was working nicu this summer/fall)..

Yeah, I guess I just didn't say anything to the kids. They were too obnoxious and they did a lot of mocking so there wouldn't have been any point.

I got teased about all kinds of horrible things, though.

You know it's a bad sign when a 12-year-old tells another 12-year-old she should get breast reductions.

I guess I knew I wouldn't win in a physical fight 😉. That's probably why I worked so hard in school. At least I could win at something...

I think the kids being mean to each other depends allot on the school. Where I attended k-5, there was all kinds of picking ons and playground fights and such. Then when I moved, the schools just had no tolerance for that and it didn't seem that too much bullying occured.

I was lucky I got my size early;no one ever bothered me, even at the school with lots of bullying.

I second that. The adults were so USELESS. Pretended like they didn't even notice what was going on. They would also play ridiculous favorites.

Random thought/question: what do you guys get more often, good dreams or nightmares about med school/admissions/MCAT?

I, sadly, never seem to remember my dreams 🙁 I think this largely has to do with my poor sleep schedule (I probably averaged 5 hrs or less last semester) and hopefully I'll get to remember some dreams this semester 🙂
