really?? cmon chad, i thought you were better than that!! 😛 But seriously, realitiy TV? 99% of those shows are garbage and completely and totally rigged/fixed.

I know it's trite and fake and cheezy... but I love it anyway. I don't know, I just find it entertaining.

Still, that's not to say that it's the only thing I watch. I like a lot of other stuff, too. It's just that I'd prefer reality shows (some of them) to some of the other poorly-written, illogical crap that our faithful networks clog the airwaves with.

lol I'm trying to turn my frown upside down 🙂 I accidentally side swiped my brothers car in the drive way last night and he's PISSED. His car is less than a year old and I scratched it pretty good. As if that wasn't bad enough, right after my fender bender I was driving to a friends house & my phone died. i got lost and had to find a radio shack & ask for them to charge my cell so I could call for directions! It was a mess! But it is a new day 🙂

I mean, do they act like this in the real world (bc then they would have no friends) or is it just that the internet has allowed them to drop their facade of politeness and decency?

No offense to Berk and others, but mods here seem to lay down the rules pretty unevenly. They allow some off-topic threads to stay but lock or move the ones they don't like (at least it seems). Besides, it's hard to report a post that doesn't use outright slurs but is just belittling or condescending or does not respond to the post its quoted but goes on a diatribe. Also, the Lounge is even more ridiculous than pre-allo. People on here are a lot meaner and less rational than the ones I've been running into in my daily life--do I just associate myself with people who exercise a high degree of critical thinking, or is a high percentage of people in the real world just large douchebags? Or are there just that many sad, pathetic trolls? UGH!

The lounge is unmoderated...so people are free to bash and be inflammatory. They have some fun threads in there but also a lot of trolling and mean spirits. People online are a whole different ballgame...hiding behind the keyboard, screen and avatar lets people say things they would never dream of in person. I think a lot of the mods just try to keep things civil and in the absence of blatantly harmful or inappropriate posts, they can't or won't do anything. feel better! there are good people out there 🙂

Haha, I think the poster who immediately comes to mind is very probably just a d-bag in real life. Hehe, funny, I didn't even realize that one could discriminate against the 'trads'...apparently you can literally discriminate against ANYONE.

I think we got lucky with the c/o 2013. At least on SDN, we're a good group 🙂. There are some 2014ers I'm pretty sure I'll be happy enough never meeting.

When I get really irritated I just IM Ryserr and then I feel better 🙂. Because I don't think real-world people care that screen name "ETtheextraterrestrial" is posting ridiculous and offensive comments.
