I've just read a PS that needed a lot of work. So I did the track changes in Microsoft Word. Can I send a file in a PM or do I have to copy and paste?

thats what I did. I tracked changes and sent the doc back to them via email.

😳 Thanks all of you for the support. I tend to get a bit obsessive about things that I'm really excited or anxious about, so it's nice to have people that can help bring me back down to earth. :laugh:

In a way, it's nice to have some closure, but I sure as hell would have preferred the alternative. Probably going to shadow a student at Downstate for a day to make sure I don't hate it, then withdraw from all my remaining schools (including waitlist at Stony Brook). Then, at last I'll be able to say that the cycle is over for me.

All wallowing aside, I'm still extremely grateful to have an acceptance in hand and looking forward to becoming a doctor in 2013! 🙂

Thanks! I am SO excited about going. It's a medical/dental trip and there are no nurses going this time (this group goes about twice a year) so I'll be getting some great hands-on experience. Plus I'm really passionate about working with the hispanic population so this'll be a great opportunity to work with them and brush up on my Spanish skills. The trip is from March 6-12 so I probably won't be around those days.

im so sorry chad about your knee.. i myself had a partially torn meniscus a few years back and from time to time my knee just acts up and gets very stiff..
also, that trip sounds amazing! i am olanning a trip too its just not that altruistic lol. a spring break trip with a bunch of friends during our spring beak, march 14 or so.
I think I may finally make an appearance in lab today. i havent gone since early/mid december...

What are you guys getting your significant others for Valentine's Day? I'm kind of stumped.

I'm trying to figure out how to make his interests into a gift.

So far I've come up with weightlifting, guitar, comedy movies, golf, and games like poker, Trivial Pursuit, chess, etc. etc. etc.
 
Stiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiill going! Just did two hours of mousework. Next: gel processing!

IDK yet. Valentines day is my least favorite holiday so I try to keep it low key... and I'm going to be on vacation on valentines day.


I think I'm going to get him a shirt (he needs new clothes desperately) or cook him dinner -- which could be a treat or punishment 😀
 
A few years ago i sent him an edible arrangements basket. That was a bit hit with my health freak. Maybe Mr. Nola would like that

It's actually chubs with the bad knee. I'm so glad I don't have any injuries at the moment - rehearsals for my show start in about a month.

Yeah, I'm kinda stumped too. What do girls usually want to get on Valentine's Day? I want to do something different than the typical "teddy bear, chocolates, and roses" thing...

Chad, I think it's always a good idea to steer away from the stereotypical stuff. it feels very generic. Get her something that is specific to her that shows you care -- like if she has a favorite perfume that she uses all the time or sing her favorite song or take her out to eat at her favorite restaurant that she's been craving -- that kind of stuff I always find very cute.


One time Kyle sent me roses with "I love you" spray painted on each petal. That was really nice.

Oh yeah, I heard about those. They do look pretty tasty...

I've never been great at gift-giving, Valentine's Day especially. Though for my last gf, she had been yammering about an iPod shuffle for months, so I bought one for her, wrapped it up, and left it in her medicine cabinet with a cute little note when I left for work in the morning. I think that one went over pretty well 😛

Sometimes I feel like the presentation is worth almost as much as the gift itself.

yea, a lot of girls are easily pleased (with the exception of high maintenance girls). I'm equally excited by roses and chinese food... actually chinese food would be more satisfying haha. I need to go to the gym 🙁
 
I like flowers... but I'm just as happy with the Walmart or Winn Dixie bouquet that you picked up while you were grocery shopping as I am with florist delivered kind... if not moreso.
 
Is it just me or is today going by sooooooooooo slowly? I cannot believe it's only 11 AM. Hurry up Friday!

I've always hated Valentines day for some reason. So I told myself that my distaste would continue throughout the years no matter what my relationship status was! Here's looking at you, Cupid :meanie:
