Don't you have a local gym or a gym at your school?

Lyss and Blues are making me hungry😡 so I am going to head out now.

hahahahahahahaha...berk!!!!!!

I hope you finally got some sleep!

I am getting sooooooooo nervous b/c I hear back from UCSD this week...and soon from three other schools that I really really really liked. I am trying not to go crazy (by working out and making myself too tired to really care...temporarily), but I cannot shake this feeling
Yeah! I ended up sleeping at 4. Crazy.

Ohh I really hope you hear back great news from UCSD! Call up Brian the day you're going to hear back. I did that and it saved me a lot of waiting.

Nothing like waking up on a Sunday morning to find I missed 5 pages of ONE WORD POSTS 😡😡😡.
:meanie: Yeah...so I was bored. Deal with it.

I always thought hella was from South Park.
SP was making fun of north Californians. They were the ones that started it.

On a side not I loved that episode where Cartman kept saying hella.

Good morning.

In Berk's defense, Funk, CRB, and I kept her company some company.
Thank you for that! CRB wasn't much company. He was only here for ~20 mins.
i'm hosting a gathering tonight! quiche, mini-burgers, tomato mozzerella salad, spinach and artichoke dip, hummus, pesto, pico de gallo, chips, bread
Yummy!

Yay for exercise!🙂

Hello everyone!
Hey! Nice job. I woke up too late for morning exercise...and it's raining here. So I'll go in the afternoon.

protein powders are breaking my bank account 🙁 Just spent $120 on 14 lb's, it was a huge sale though, so I couldn't resist.

Why? Just eat real protein filled foods...

Im sitting here watching the NFL combine. Its pretty good. Howare yall?

Or hunt for real protein filled foods. Saves money, and it's good exercise.

True... in most of the places that you guys live, I think that there are hunting grounds/ranges, etc...

Since CRB mentioned a bargain, I am going to assume that protein shakes are cheaper than meals at his school. Though most people don't know how to, they can eat well on a small budget. You'd be surprised how cheap it can be to eat healthy.

I agree... fruits and veggies are a lot cheaper than chips, cookies, etc...

i can't. it would cost even more to eat at subway etc. and my schedule is so screwed up on tuesdays/thursdays I can't have real food until 6:30 PM and 5:30 PM, respectively, due to non-stop classes starting at 9 AM

Your typical American snack is expensive; carrots, celery, and fruits, which most people no longer consider snacks, are cheap. My cheap source of proteins are egg whites. Other good sources of protein are nuts, milk, and cottage cheese.

I haven't had chips, cookies, ice cream, brownies, and all that good stuff since April, so almost a year now. I've had pizza twice.

I eat healthy, very healthy, but it does cost quite a bit more money than mcdonalds. I haven't had mcdonalds since, I dunno, middle school??? I spend about 12 dollars each day on food.

I manage to do it, but it involves cooking and preparing meals before I head out for the day. If you can do that, then you would save yourself a lot of money. However, its hard to do when you don't cook and are short on time.

nuts have more fat than protein, egg whites are highly inconvenient, I can't carry a milk jug with me all day, and cottage cheese I simply cannot stand.

This is how all those nutrition companies make money. Selling easily accessible protein to people like me 🙁

I eat chicken, veggies, fruits, pasta, protein shake when I'm at home. When I'm out on campus I eat protein bars which are about $1.50 - $2.00 each, it's cheap compared to subway but they add up because I eat every 2 hrs.

Aren't you worried about all the other random **** that is mixed into it, considered it usually is not regulated by the FDA...

I cook. I eat out like once every 2 weeks, at the most. It's just that I'm constantly walking between classes and stuff I can't really get to a microwave to heat up chicken breast or something, so this semester I resort to protein bars.

Last semester I had a lot of free time in between classes and spent alot more time at research lab, so I was able to use the fridge and the microwave

But rice and noodles are a lot cheaper than fruits and veggies.

I believe rice is like the most amount of calories you can get for cheap. My roommate eats so much rice it's ridiculous. He's obese though. He also drinks 2 gallons of orange juice and 2 gallons of chocolate milk a week. He does have health insurance though so maybe that's why he's not worried ...

Not really. What do you mean by random? High fructose corn syrup?

Fresh fruits and vegetables are expensive in my opinion. I buy canned ones.

I get em on sale. I only eat like 1 fruit and two servings of frozen green beans each day.

I spend like $50 a month on real food, the rest is all on protein/vitamins

Yum

I find that more and more businesses are utilizing FB to network and coordinate their employees. Even though linkedin is supposed to be more professional, I would not say FB is "undergraduate".

I use facebook more now as a graduate than I did as an undergraduate. I've friended most of my UG teachers (or they friended me, either way). I asked for one of my rec letters thru facebook.

LinkedIn is teh suck. Stupid, unwieldy, and besides the only reason I have an account is because my ex-bf invited me 😡 and now I can't figure out how to get rid of it. It doesn't even have the right information about me.

(And if my ex-bf uses it, it is automatically TEH SUCK).

You need some of the fats found in nuts. They are the so called good fats. I eat egg whites when I am at home and I cook chicken when I am have to go out. I usually either take something like carrots or rice to eat with the chicken.

Everything in protein shakes and muscle milk comes from milk (and nuts I believe).

Mens gymnastics on big ten channel right now

I eat them in moderation. I eat like 1/2 a cup of almonds each day. I am eating about 3200 calories each day right now, with about 300 grams of protein. I'm basically doing 2x my bodyweight in protein, maybe it's too much.

Egg whites, chicken, milk, and carrots are all very healthy. I personally eat steel cut natural dry oats instead of rice because I'm lazy.

And yea, the two major forms of protein powder that people take, whey and caseine, both come from milk.
