Class of 2013!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
BD2B has the school we shall not speak of sent any more e-mails or signs of life? What is going on over there?! I heard they can be a lil bit disorganized but this is unbearable!

Alright, I'm going to bed "late" tonight!

See you all in the morning!👍😀

Yeah that's really cool... I would love to go to Disney and do it sometime! Was it a lot of fun?

Who is your friend's sister?!?! (Send me a PM if you want...)
I sent you a PM. And yes it was lots of fun. The set was great & they have three people sing for each performance. They even had the little bio clips right before their performance. Very cool. They tried to get me to audition but I said hell no! I don't want to hurt anybody 😀

. Naw, all I know at this point is, well, I don't know anything except my letter was supposed to be mailed on or around Feb 15th. 😕 I don't know. It's ok though because I serve a MIGHTY God who is going to take care of me and bless me to be accepted! I am at peace and I will wait as long as I have to! It's coming, I know it!

Someone asked how the philosophy at Yale affected the class's USMLE scores during my interview. I am certain they said their average was higher than the national average, but don't remember the exact numbers. If I recall correctly, their average is in high 220s.
Yeah, see that's lower than some other top 20 institutions have quoted. All though I also heard somewhere that schools are not allowed to officially release board scores, so all the averages you hear are hearsay.

a m e n 😀 Have you been keeping yourself busy?

I don't think that's true... USC has their score in the newsletter for the health sciences campus...their score is really high esp for a class of 180, 233 I think UW's score was around that last year though.

Yes ma'am I have been. I am reading this blk fiction novel called Unfaithful, a real page turner. I bought it on monday night and I am already on chapter 34! Hahaha! I told myself I wanted to read 5 books by may since I am hoping to be in the PARP program. Also working out, playing softball, playing my wii. Just relaxing and having fun! How are you feeling? How is your sister and Grandma?

You're right! I found the released the class of 2008's scores here http://uscnews2.usc.edu/hscweekly/detail.php?recordnum=12817, once again proving that even med students spread misinformation. Apparently USC scores > Yale's.

Nice! I love reading. So far since I've graduated I've read about 10 books 😀 I just finished Glass Castle and Gifted Hands. I'm feeling good. I'm trying to save up for a summer vacation so I've been working a lot, molding minds. My sister is doing great & my grandma is still in the hospital but is doing much better! (thanks for asking) I'm so grateful we got her to the hospital because they said if we waited another day to bring her in she might have died. Turns out she had a very serious septic infection. Hopefully she'll be good as new soon.

It's interesting to see how curriculum affects board scores. I think it does have an effect but the most important factor is still student selection. I think CCLCM said their board scores were around 230 for the most recent class and their program is about as far away from board focused as you can be.

I am finding reading my book is very relaxing and enjoyable. I will feel very accomplished once I complete my goal of 5 books by May. I want to get Dr. Carson's other book, Think BIG. I heard it is also a really awesome book. Glad to hear that everybody is doing better. I will definitely keep your Grandma up in my prayers. I am trying to figure out where me and the wife can go before school starts. We thought about doing a cruise to Mexico.

where can I find MCW's board average?

Alright I'm gonna get to bed. Good night everybody! Good night BD2B sweet dreams 😍

You sure do love those margaritas 😛

Haha, thanks for posting that because I totally forgot about margarita night the other night 😛

Don't worry blues, I kinda like 'em, too.

I'll have to go down there and try out sometime.

Plus a guaranteed audition with the producers (if you win out of your group) is a pretty awesome prize. I auditioned once for Ken Warwick and he liked me (although apparently not enough to put me through to the next round 😡).

AI was weird tonight... it was probably the most interesting mix of 12 performances I've seen in a while. I want Adam Lambert (who I hate but I recognize he's got mad skills), Allison Iraheta, and Megan Corkrey/Kris Allen to make it through. I also want Jasmine Murray, Matt Giraud, Mishavonna Henson, and Megan Corkrey/Kris Allen to return for the wildcard.

Speaking of Megan Corkrey, she reminds me SO MUCH of Jenny Gear from Canadian Idol Season 1.

Jenny Gear - Tower of Song
Megan Corkrey - Put Your Record On (video in the middle of the page)

Oh yeah, I finally did my FAFSA tonight with my Dad, and my EFC is a whopping 596. Apparently my Dad has nearly all of his money in retirement funds and annuities, which don't count toward net worth of investments for FAFSA.

Sweet 🙂

I just got done w/ the FAFSA tonight myself!:soexcited: I need to call my dad in the morning just to check a couple of things, but with any luck I'll be able to submit that before class tomorrow morning, and then send off all my other forms to Baylor by the beginning of next week 🙂 (Sorry that we won't be able to have that Spring Break forms-filling-out party, pianola! I was struck w/ a sudden attack of productivity 😀 )

Why do I keep procrastinating?😡😡😡

It's one of humankind's most natural activities, unfortunately. 🙁

Haha. I need to be struck with a sudden attack of productivity. Good for you, Spurs! I need to get in those forms to Baylor. Well, spring break is coming up soon...

I also need to decide where I'm going so that Mr. Nola can start looking for jobs in the area. :scared: *sigh* It's frustrating when I haven't even made up my mind enough to tell my own boyfriend who is willing to move with me and for me. But I guess my excuse for now is that I'm still waiting on Cornell and Columbia.

You know, I never noticed how much material I'd covered for my food safety class...until today when I'm having a test 😛. Funny how you can still cover a lot of material in a class that only meets 100 minutes/week.

Which would make that decision a lot easier!

Maybe. I wonder. I don't know that I'd necessarily go to Columbia or Cornell automatically over other options...

Although I do appreciate drizzt's point about how the grading scale is something that will matter to me in medical school. Where both Columbia and Cornell are unbeatable over all my other choices in that respect.

Well, at least you'll have all pieces of the puzzle!...or wait... will they give you financial aid data by then as well, or is that an even longer wait?

Morning peeps!

Günaydın Arkadaşlar!
