Hey guys! I'm filling out NeedAccess right now and it's asking for local taxes. Their help options are fairly useless, so do they mean state taxes or county taxes?
 
Hey guys... looks like I missed a lot today!

Hope everyone's having a great Saturday.

I had my first rehearsal today, and I got my role assignments. I am a Hoovervillite, a NYC citizen, a servant, Fred McCracken (who apparently is a ventriloquist so I'll have to teach myself ventriloquism! 😱) and Harold Ickes (a member of FDR's cabinet - I get a vocal solo!!!!!)

Also, my Dad called me and he's bringing home a new audio receiver and a blu-ray player! New toys! 😀

i would assume state taxes...

If this was the only place I got accepted, I'd look into applying to graduate school."

I know, I know, I'm gonna be a horrible doctor because that thought crossed my mind 😛, but it's an entirely valid feeling. If the OP feels this way about the school, then it's a pretty simple choice.

well i should be studying for my european history midterm on monday, but i just dont want to.. lol i think im p/d/fing the class anyway becuase I knwo im not gonna write an A paper when the duedate is April 6th. by that point, i will really have checked out lol
and yourself?
 
I have come to the realization that I have forgotten how to study... either that or I have ADD since every 5 minutes I would look around or take a break or do something else...

What am I gonna do during med school😱

i believe that it will change during medical school... we will be studying what we have been thinking about for so long...a nd im actually looking forward to that studying..
studying history and writing papers on the gypsies during the holocaust isnt really my cup of tea 😉 and i dont want to do it. oh! its also senior yr

oh.. damn.. well .. then im fresh out of ideas and should probably really make sure i kick myself in the butt and get into gear... (i have no idea where ive heard that phrase before and im not even sure if its situation-appropriate lol)

then again, the smae thing happened to me senior yr of HS.. studying became impossible lol
 
i think i am just ready to move on actually...from college to med school that is

Even the schools I didn't really like I could find something about that I liked... I don't want to mention them by name though because who knows, someone here might be going there...

well everyone has different criteria and i doubt anyone would get offended...
hell, i really thought AECOM would be fantastic and everything i read about it was wonderful, but after my interview, I knew it just wasn't the place for me and I wouldn't want to go there.... (so i promptly withdrew after a decision was reached so i wouldnt take up anyones spot 🙂)

One bit of advice for you guys. Figure out how you study, know yourself, and figure out how long it will take you to prepare for med school exams, then multiply that amount of time by two, and set it aside. That way you'll be able to finish your studying and keep your sanity. It's POSSIBLE to study for days/weeks straight, but it doesn't do wonders for your psyche 🙁

Same here... there was one school which I really disliked which I interviewed at, but there were things which made it bearable...

I am glad I withdrew pre-interview from AECOM now...plus I am not a fan of NYC:barf: no offense😳

That's how I'm feeling right now. I've actually done a pretty good job of staying off SDN this weekend, but instead of studying I've just found other things to distract myself with.

It seems I am subconsciously settling for a "C".

yeah, it was my first interview and I went there on the first interview day... and I was thinking "are you serious?" when I went into the building and was swarmed by uniformed guards asking for my ID... let's not talk about the facilities either... haha

Haha, the faster you get it done, the less you'll have to worry about it! As for me, I am lounging comfortably in my home without any homework to worry about. I start a photography class on Wednesday, though. It'll be good start learning again.😀 (Which is not to say that I'm not learning new things all the time at work, but rather I'll be learning non-biological things.:laugh:)

I'm beginning to feel the same way. Lately I've been trying to read and I seem really restless about it...👎

haha swarmed even?
it also felt wayy too isolated from the city for me.. if it were close to a train, it wouldnt be so bad, but when you need a 20min bus ride after the train? too much 🙁
 
i think most of my studying will be tomorrow evening... lol. although I admit, i plan to go through the ID's and essays tonight too!

to clarify:
our prof gave us a list of ~60 ID's and 8 essays.
on the exam we will have 10 ID's and do 5 of them and 3 essays and do 1 of them.. so my friends and i split the work (thank god!!!!) and I hope i can get through all the IDs and essays at least once tonight 🙂

but that will be wildly spaced out with SDN and other things lol
