FINALLY!!! Bernard Madoff pleads guilty to all 11 federal charges against him. I hope that ******* rots in jail.

I like how he said "I always knew this day would come." Then why didn't you stop robbing people blind before you got caught, you jerk?!?

That baby's got some monstrous eyes. Gigantic.

Yeah, I e-mailed Ms. Tejas (the person in charge of residency concerns) last night.

But it might cost a bit to get residency in the first place.
Yeah people keep promoting that, but I don't see the point of dropping 100k on a house so i can save like 30k on tuition...Unless I marry a very poor Texan right now I don't see how the math will work out 😛 But if Mr. Nola gets a job, won't he become a resident? And then you can get married and you'll be a resident!

Shhh, we're not using the "M" word yet 😉

Done with midterms.

I think I passed all 3 today.

Unfortunately, I don't even feel relieved at all, still waiting on final words from Mayo and WashU. Madison is virtually over at this point unless if I somehow get placed top 3 on the instate waitlist.

👍 Is it time to pack from Spring Break yet?

nah, staying in Madison, unless if stanford/UCLA magically decide to send me an interview invite for spring break in california :laugh::laugh:

Well the worse news is that only about $160K is going to be at 6.8%. The other $40K that I will probably need will probably be at 8.5%...

(I'm assuming a 4 year residency where I claim forbearance for all 4 years).
Forbearance does not affect the accumulation of interest. You're just delaying Judgment Day.

COngrats on passing the tests. That's the #1 important thing.

And :luck: with the above.

I'm gonna most likely take the subsidized stafford at 6.8%, then loan the rest from family members.

I'll pay what I can during residency, but I probably won't pay them hardcore until after.
Well, yeah. But the earlier you can pay the better. The interest accumulation is just mind boggling. I absolutely HATE the idea of paying interest on my interest 😛

If it were not for UB, I wouldn't know the difference between a puma, a cougar, and a jaguar.

...I think cougar should be enough of an umbrella category for all three. I don't think puma and jaguar are going to make it into the popular consciousness as much as cougar already has.

Hahaha...not for tuition purposes anyway! The two ideas need to remain separate. I do kind of wonder if we'd be ready say at the end of my second year (we will have been together 2 and a half years at that point). Cause if I took off a year to do research after that (an option Baylor offers) we could still save $25-30K for my last two years of med school. (Assuming it takes a year to get residency after marriage).

Marriage should NOT be forced by tuition, though. That's just...so wrong.

Haha, oh I know. I need that deferment law back. 🙁

If you look up the definitions of each one on urbandictionary.com, you'll know what I'm talking about.

Basically, a cougar is in her 40s, a puma is in her 20s-30s, and a jaguar is in her 50s.

lol wow. The most attractive woman, IMO, is a cougar by the name of Shania

also, why don't they separate the 20s-30s into 20s and 30s? Say, cheetah and puma?

Aren't the cheetah girls something on the Disney Channel? Maybe they don't want to cross into that pre-teen territory.

Snow is prolly getting old, eh?

Well, no, actually! This area hardly ever gets snow, but we just got 6 inches two or three weeks ago, it was 70 last weekend, and now snow again!!!

MAKE UP YOUR MIND, WEATHER PATTERNS.😡

Yeah. Our temperature differential one day this week was 60 degrees. That's INSANE. ONE day.
