I surprised my dad since I came home a day early, and the first words out of his mouth were "What are you doing here" FML.

my comp won't even load that top

WTF!?! I missed the baby-naming party???

C'mon now guys...C'mon...

Someone should have yanked me out of the shower for this! 😛

Is it weird that I have my baby names already planned out? Me & my bf have fights about what our potential children would be named... Yea I think I'm weird.

NOT weird at all.

My little girl will be named Michelle. After my mom. It's Greek tradition.

And boy?

Anyone at ALL find it odd that a bunch of guys have thought of this too? I thought I was the only one!

I just came up with them one the spot, I hadn't actually thought of it before. But yes, it is a bit odd, I didn't realize so many people had baby names preped and at the ready.

Hehe 😍 I think it's wonderful if a guy thinks of baby names. Speaking of which, I wonder if Mr. Nola has....

I wonder if he wants our babies to have Thai names...I kind of doubt it, though.

hmm...

I really don't know any guy names that I'm particularly fond of, I guess. I'll let Mr. Nola decide on that one.

Haha...well, you know...you meet someone in the class named "Tequila" (that was the girl sitting next to me at graduation) and you start wondering what kind of nitwit decided to name her daughter after an alcoholic beverage...

And you just start thinking, I guess...

For my mom, it was very important that I was named after my grandmother.

(BTW, my mom's name is a Greek version of Michelle, and my grandmother's name is a Greek version of "pianola")

my mom's name is weird. I would name a child Fiona after my mother because she reminds me of Fiona in Shrek... the ogre version 😀 (yes she knows about this & she politely reminds me that I look just like her. Darn that woman)

My dad's family does lots of naming after people, I'm not sure if I'm going to continue it though (it's not really cultural, they just for some reason do it).

Edit: and the beverage ect names are horrid. I can't stand when people do that to their kids.

A teacher friend of mine mentioned a student who was named (Phonetically): Shee-theed... Spelled: Sh!+head

No joke.

And from a peds resident friend: A young mother was asked how to spell T'Shawn....

Doc: So how do you spell your sons name?
Mom: With a high comma.
Doc: I'm sorry I didn't catch that Is it T-Shawn, TaShawn, T apostrophe Sean?
Mom: What's this apostrophe, don't you know a high comma? You know, just like a comma but higher up...

Thank you so much. I know she is so upset. Such a quick loss. I don't know that she even made it to the hospital beforw he passed. I know she didn't get to say goodbye. And that is going to be very hard.

I'm so sorry OMBD! My prayers for you, your friend and her family.

This has REALLY been a rough stretch for you and yours... I don't know what to say but I'm praying for you.

Thanks Spurs. It means a lot. I know its going to be difficult on her, especially since she wasn't there to say goodbye before he went into surgery.

ha, you better get some rest! I'm sure I will crash eventually... had almost fallen asleep before our mutual best friend called with the news.

Haha, well regardless, there will be little sleep over here... I'm going to be cramming most of the night since I haven't studdied for the last few weeks...

ouch. I'm the world's worst crammer-procrstinator. As in, the first is usually futile and the second is something I'm very bad at.

Yes, I have procrastinophobia...

I'm excellent at procrastinating and cramming. For my sake I hope I become a much worse procrastinator soon.

I can't either. and the thing is, I've had two friends (just 1-2 years older than me) lose a parent in the last 5 months.

Its surreal. I'm thankful for everyday I have with mine.
