I swear this is not a lie: in 11th grade, they announced on the announcements to my school the recipients of the various national honor awards for people who took the PSAT. Haha! Exactly. And hey, the lowest I'm gonna get on my seminar is a B.

But a B in grad school is approximately like saying "you suck at life" and even if it weren't, I have the potential to humiliate myself in front of my parents, sister, my parents' friends, my teachers, my advisors, the entire nutrition department, my boyfriend, my boyfriend's family, all of the dietetics students, and my friend in the food science degree who is gonna show up.

No pressure.
 
I think I got rejected from Yale as I expected. 🙁 O well.

Being in a chorus means you have other people singing with you to take the pressure off. That's why I always played in an orchestra/string quartet and never as a soloist.

So, should I just play video games, or should I watch TV and then play video games, or should I watch a movie and then play video games... I am so confused, and it is such a hard choice. I also need to read a bit, so my brain does not become mush.

What a case for M&M....

Friend's dad bled out. The doctor was not called at the appropriate time, so when they finally got him into surgery it was too late.

The surgeon himself recommended their lawyer... wow. Sad enough to lose someone. Even worsw when it is truly preventable.

More or less. The weather's tanked, but it's a nice relaxing pace on the inside, so I'm pretty happy with it. How're you doing?
 
Doesn't Acceptance to Interview ratio make more sense?

My interview to acceptance is 10:1. Acceptance to interview of 1:10, which also works in decimal form: 0.1. (I swear I interview well! I just have a rather low GPA. Or something. Still have three schools to hear back from too).


I wish I had a desk job. 🙁 I do bench research so I have to sneak into the main office to use the computer whenever I can't take it anymore.

It's actually not that bad, usually. But ever since March rolled around I find it harder and harder to stay away from the computer... Can't wait till I go on Vacation again (unpaid this time) in May! Then back to work for a month and a half or so before med school.

Turkey for three weeks with my boyfriend (who's from there) and my best friend. 😀 I'm excited. I haven't had a real vacation since 2006 spring (when I went to my best friend's home country. And started dating my boyfriend while we were there 🙂 ).

Time to switch the voltage on my Western Blot and head to lunch. Yay food!
