It says "reputation" on it. Probably your rating or something, like if you get a lot of posts reported, then your reputation goes down? Something like that.

Ahhh, a lot of forums use this type of ranking to keep the angry, socially ill-adept ones from being worshipped by the newcomers. It's a good move.👍

Shame there's no "bad advice" button, though.🙁

hmm I guess they are replacing post count with the old program they used to have... but at the end of the day it just turns into a popularity contest.

When you click that button that looks like a mushroom cloud, you can say "I approve" or "I disapprove" of ____'s post.

I figured it was a rep bar, but then again I never thought SDN would implement a rep system. This actually helps out substantially, since we won't have to call anyone out and people could pick and choose who to listen to when asking for advice.
 
I upped everyone who posted on this page who wasn't "cool" already.👍

very true. And now people can know who the toxic, non-constructive people are. I wonder if that thread yesterday had anything to do with it hahaha


Oh and I see the 2013 thread... I can't tell if it's a 4/1 heist or what

Maybe people who continually give bad advice get some kind of punishment? That would be a big help.

Although I'm wondering about the reputation scale. So far, I've seen "Plebe," "Kinda Cool," "Cool," and "Fonzie." Are there any others?

I've dealt with it before and actually left a forum in the past because of the rep system. The rep system was very susceptible to abuse and so it made my time there unpleasant. I suggests that newcomers be denied the right to rep until they have earned it by being here long enough or getting good rep from others.
