They were delicious. The night's drink choice was inspired by this thread😀.

Although I think me posting m y drinking habits in this thread probably has me looking like an alcoholic. which I am not.

I have come to realize that I am a very low-maintenance girlfriend. I really am. At first I thought that was a good thing.

I am eating roasted, salted mixed nuts.

They are delicious.

I bet they'd go well with Yoda's gin and tonic.

And now I sleep uncomfortably. Shouldve had a glass of wine or something.
 
All you can eat Thai food FTW...

And :barf:... I ate too much... I have noticed that my appetite has decreased considerably... I am not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing...

Papaya Salad😍😍

Oh and the spicyness was too much for even my dad to handle... but then again, he was eating their chili sauces...

Oh and for dessert, there was this taro root and tapioca pudding... I wonder what it is called, but they also had a full platter of pineapple😍😍😍 I can eat just pineapples plain...It is my new favorite fruit😀
 
Pineapple is awesome but not in the US. Damn laws preventing me from bringing fruit from home. Our pineapple tastes like candy. 😀

And tom yum soup is amazing. I've only had it like two or three times. Must fix that.

I'm not sleepy enough yet.
 
Although if good pineapple really exists in the US, I need to find it. I miss pineapple.

I collaborated with one of my good friends, and we decided to call today Easter Eve... so Happy Easter Eve everyone...

I had a nice 8 hour long uninterrupted sleep😀

Yesterday the volunteer coordinator at hospice asked my friend (another volunteer who is very obviously Indian by name and by appearance) if he was going to go home for the holidays to celebrate Easter.

She then proceeded to talk about Easter and how great it was for about half an hour while we made name tags.

Weird experience. I wasn't sure what to say.

Well, there are a lot of Catholics who are Indian, such as my friend who I collaborated with to come up with Easter Eve, so maybe that is why? But yeah, it is rather odd to try to impose others to follow your own holidays... That is the reason why I try to learn more about other people's religions so that I can be respectful and not have someone have to do something that is against their beliefs/ morals etc...

I guess so. The way she said it more or less implied "everyone celebrates Easter, of course."

I just would have thought it a given not to assume that. :shrug:

I guess she meant well.

Yah, a lot of people are like that... I mean there are the Easter Christians/Catholics who only go to church on Easter Sunday, and for the rest of the year, they do not go, so perhaps it was that kind of an affair... but I usually just butt in and say that I do not celebrate the holiday, but you are right, in that it is not fair to assume that everyone celebrates it...

Its funny, until I was in middle school, I used to think Easter was all about the pastel colored bunnies, baby chickens, Easter Eggs and the Easter Bunny... I did not know that it had a religious significance😳

Heh, actually that makes two of us 😛. The church I went to was a little strange and we didn't discuss religion much at my house.

And yeah, my friend didn't celebrate Easter and seemed kind of surprised that the coordinator had asked him that.

I guess I am an exception when it comes to shaving...I've never had to shave in my life....yep I got those weird genes. I cannot grow hair on my face, legs, and arms to save my soul...I blame it on my grandmothers Native American Heritage :laugh:
