So I think I got into another medical school, because I got another one of those background check emails. I have 3 schools. Vanderbilt, UCF, and Buffalo...I wonder which one it is.

I'm thinking of getting an iPod touch. I just killed my blackberry (free hand me down from my mother last summer) about a week ago and I miss it like crazy. I can't decide if I want to save up instead for a new smart phone somewhere down the line (don't like current options that much and want to wait and see if something I like that's Android comes out since I heart Google).

And to think, a year and a half ago my brothers offered to get my an iPhone for my birthday and I said no. Don't need one and don't really want one. Can I go back in time and smack myself?

Yeah, the iPod touch works off of wi-fi so it just depends where and how you want to use it. I can get directions off of google maps and I can still access the directions when I am in the car, even though there is no wi-fi, so that's nice. And really, I carry it around since it's my little library. You can download free books through an app, and I read the whole Jane Austen collection again, as well as Gone With the Wind (that book is a behemoth) which was awesome. It was my sister and brother-in-law's way in "converting" me to be a Mac lover, but not yet..... 🙂

Yeah, that's the thing. I can't decide if an iPod touch is convenient enough without being connected 24/7. I was just fine without being able to check my email and such any time every where until I got to try it! Now I feel like I can't live without it.

Totally know what you mean-it's weird when I can't check my e-mail every 15 minutes, but I will say the novelty will wear off after a while. I've become dependent on it, but I also am not in school right now, so I think that's a big reason I am always fiddling with it-I have nothing better to do in my free time 🙂

Also, the Lions draft = bust. Not only did the Lions give $72 million to a QB who completed 55% of his passes in college, they also drafted a tight end in the first round and grabbed some safety that I never heard of at the top of the second round while Rey Maualuga was still on the board (MLB is one of the Lions' needs). What the #$(@*$#@ is going on?!

It depends on where you are, but lately we've been in drought conditions.:cry:

The Hampton Roads area and (probably) all the way up to Richmond get a lot more violent storm activity due to proximity to the gulf stream, though. Northern Virginia's somewhat removed from that and thus we only get half-assed thunderstorms that cannot compare with the ones I knew when I was growing up.:laugh:

Yeah, it was gorgeous all day here, mid 80s. I broke out the shorts for the first time this year 🙂
 
Haha, looks like RR beat me to the draft anger, I missed that.

I about had a heart attack when I saw that they skipped over Maualuga in the second round.
