Haha, well, El Paso is a new school with a fairly new curriculum, so I was worried about being a "guinea pig" (incidentally, that was the reason for the full ride- like UCF, they are recruiting heavily). But more than anything, I couldn't deal with the distance between me and Ms. Spurs. There's a HUGE difference between the 3 hour drive to Houston and a 10-12 hour drive to El Paso!

Of course, I'd also been kinda counting on some help from Baylor, since historically they've been generous at giving scholarships... this was before it came out that they weren't giving any merit scholarships this year 🙁 Supid economy! 😡 But the way it works in Texas is that you have to give up all but one public school acceptance by Jan 15, so I held onto UTMB instead of El Paso because I figured I might be able to bargain with Baylor better if I got some money from the slightly more "prestigious" UTMB.

Oh well...

Really? I've never been curious enough to even click on the thread, and it looks like it's gotten pretty huge in a hurry. Too bad my asst mod powers are ineffective in Pre-Allo 😉 where I spend more time than I do in MCAT Discussions where my powers lie. Ironic how that works out.

ohhhhhhh it's all pointless banter in there...the proverbial pissing contest...which person's piss is clearest (read most logical...clearly drinks alot of water)...which person's is darkest (read retarted...clearly drinks too much soda)

Lol, it was ok at first, then got repetitive. Plus, in threads like that, things never get resolved anyway. People just dig their heels in about their own points of view and resort to name-calling.
