Ashes, ashes
We all fall down !!

Are dustrubing....the last one is thought to come from the black plague ?!?!?! Rosies-red rashes people would get, posies- carried around bc it was though to purify the air, ashes-cremated the deceased to make room in graveyards...and well, the last part is obvious 🙁

I've heard that too; apparently trying to make disease less scary. I love origin stories of various common things such a phrases and nursery rhymes

Also, nice work in supporting Zelda, she got robbed.

no joke .... I never got the rosie rhyme until I taught it to one of the little girls I babysat and got to thinking about the words so I googled it. Now I avoid it bc it's creepy and taught her patty cake instead
