I'm a fan of riceman.👍

So what are the terms of the "Guarantee"?

 Enjoy it or my money back?

(Well, if I pass the course, I can put my name + $10 into an international registry saying I'm HACCP certified -- it's good for a lifetime). So if I do badly on the assignment (i.e. fail + don't enjoy it?) I'll get my $10 back, I guess.

Yay! I can work at McDonald's if this whole stupid medical school deal ends up being a losing proposition.

Yay! I am done with my thesis!

That is all.

I am too tired to go on SDN right now😳

haha a measly 77.3... 🙄

There are a good number of SDNers who fall in this range... I think. I'm talking when you add up everyone who is now an undergrad or a med student. The easiest way to do it is to get a 3.9-4.0 range then pull a 15 on one MCAT section. Then, all you have to do is average 12.5-13 on the other two sections (not impossible by any means). I think there is a lot of luck involved... I had "15" potential, as do many others, but one or two dumb mistakes will do you in. I think anything beyond about 75 LizzyM puts you in a reasonably "elite" (trying to avoid that sounding bad) group of people.

Justification for use of "75": I'm assuming a 3.8 GPA and a 37 MCAT; I think a 3.8 can be difficult depending on where you go to school, and a 37 requires a person to score 13+ on at least one section...

edit: on a side note, I think 40+ is so difficult b/c it requires a person to score 14+ on at least one section. Someone may really know their s*** but just not be able to pull off any 14+ subscores on test day, thus precluding a 40+

also, there is a guy on here with like a 3.98 and a 43R (14, 14, 15). I won't name him in case he took his mdapps down, but I remember him. Think about that lizzym:

3.98*10+43 = 82.8!!!! I think he's going to Mayo, c/o 2013

When I got my MCAT score, I covered the screen with a piece of paper and read them out left to right.

I saw the 12 in PS, and was disappointed. That was actually on the low end of my practice scores for PS.

I saw the 12 in verbal, and wasn't surprised, that was right at my median for my practice scores.

I saw the 15 in BS and I was amazed. BS was my worst section almost the entire time I was studying, but the real thing just had the right selection of topics for me.

Potentially, could I have gotten a 40-41? Yes. So could ONOY and anyone else that scored above a 37. Looking at what happened to my BS score (the real section was so cake for me, I finished it 20 minutes early), I'd say if you're averaging above 12 per section, its almost random what your score distribution will be when you take it. If I were to retake it, I could potentially get a 15 on the PS and a 12 on the BS, or anything in between.

Damn 97.5th-percentile-ceiling holding me back!
:sendoff:

By the way, I wish you guys could see how ridiculous I look right now. My computer crapper out on me a while ago so I only have my touch which is low on battery so it's in it's cradle I'm currently typing 2words per minute

Sheesh, time to get a new computer.

Iknow but I have to wait until I know for sure which school I'm going to as on of them has a laptop requirement. These waitlists really need to get moving it is affecting my SDN activity and that will not stand

I've been watching the GI Joe Resolute series... Snake eyes is a bona fide b.a.

Oh, that makes absolute sense. Now that I know where I'm going, I have a whole crapload of things to do.. get a new computer (I'm using a Macbook that they gave me at work), find a roommate, find an apartment to rent, send in my transcripts, get my immunizations, etc. etc. Somehow I thought making the final decision on which school to go to would be all I needed to do! 😡😉😛

LOL-if I post before 6-7 pm eastern time, it's on my touch. Which means they are edited a hundred times or it takes me 20 minutes to type out something ....and by then people have moved on to different subjects. So I know how you feel!

It's Friday night!! Time to...

Wait...I don't know what I'm gonna do with my spare time now. 😕

My life since graduation. Thank goodness for SDN  Also my nanny job ends in a week....I very stupidly told the lady I worked for that I completely understood if she found another nanny before the end of May, that wanted to start immediately. I didn't think she would find one so quick, but she did. So now I got about 5 weeks, with no job, living with my parents :scared:. I probably will be able to contribute to reaching 1000 pages by 5/15 quite nicely.

EDIT: TOP!!!! What a nice graduation present.

Now this sounds strangely familiar... (except it's a little longer for me, perhaps)
