just dropped my father off at the airport. unfortunately he won't be able to see me at graduation ceremony 🙁

Well, I won't move into the apt until July. But I leave on wednesday to go to NY to harrass Lyss and then school kinda starts or me on the 18th of May.

Yeah, during our program, we will be staying on campus in the dorms. I come back home on June 29th. Then we will be driving to DC and we are going to leave on July 11th. Orientation starts on July 22nd.
 
Sounds like you're ready to live in the DC suburbia.. going to be taking the Metro to school every day? I think Hyattsville is actually closer to College Park than it is DC proper, haha. Are you going to be living with roommates, and have you met them already?

I'm kinda bored and haven't gone to the gym yet, but probably will soon. Then it's a leisurely walk over to Rittenhouse Square (2 miles?) to find myself a new pair of running shoes.. too nice outside not to go for a walk, considering the *!@#$% weather we've had this week.

Yeah I am. The metro station is right across the street from my apt. I may not take it everyday, but I am sure I will as much as possible. I was told by one of the students that it is only a 10-15min metro ride to campus and they say it is on 5.8mi from the school. Not too bad. Yeah, I am going to have one roomate. It is kinda funny, I met him on here and then on our fb group and we are both doing the 6 week pre-mat program together. He is a cool cat.

Well 5.8mi=20 minute drive during peak traffic hours which go from about 7-10AM and from 4-8PM.

Were they right about saying it is that close? I have been trying to find something else that says that, but I can't find anything. Plus, Myuu, you are my DC expert! 😀

Yeah, that's plenty close! The metro's going to be your fastest way into the city, I think. You may not want to use me as your DC expert, though. I pretty much stick to NW and try to avoid parking in the city as much as possible. That may not be a problem in NE, but I have nooooo idea.😳

we're headin home now. finished up shopping for my coworker/friend's baby's first bday. we went in the children's place and hit the jackpot.. five outfits for like 30 bucks!
 
we also went to petsmart to pick up some things for the girls, and target to get dad some cold medicine and a movie. We'll be watching marley and me tonight 🙂
 
where's Myuu at? I have a camera question!


I'm going to buy a new camera (I have a Canon powershot right now) & I always buy the most updated Canon... but I'm thinking about switching to a Sony Cybershot. I don't take professional pics or anything fancy but I do like to print out my pics a lot.
 
i like the powershot better than my sony. I look better in the pics from my Cybershot though and a lot of my friends have the same camera (powershots are more expensive right?).

you should play dress up, take a change of clothes to best buy, take pics with the 2 different cameras, upload them to sdn and we will judge!
