Class of 2013!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
so what kinda laptops/netbooks/desktops are people buying/taking to medschool

🙂 We were all thinking it. Now that I think of it I don't know that the name should be coming out of my mouth. Neither should co%*)e.

what?
Well, when warm the Snuggie has an uncanny similarity to a stereotypical ritual robe. A stereotypical ritual robe most often used in ritualistic animal sacrificing.

You're just making excuses so you don't look like a psycho serial killer.

i want a macbook too! but they always come up with a new one after you buy and then you look so uncool

I wouldn't think you look uncool for having an older macbook 😉

I must wait to know exactly where I will be this summer. One of my schools has a laptop requirement, I doubt it's a necessity but it would be convenient for maintenance. If I am free to choose, I'm getting a Macbook as well.

I have gone through many an outfit while slaughtering animals...
👍

Is that like a slumber party with Snuggies?
At this point, I think slumber parties should involve no more than

and what she is wearing

Plus, my evilness is a measly 6 out of 100.

Furthermore, I was attempting to quote, albeit edited for brevity, 10 Things I hate About You, but I guess the topic was a little too distracting.

All the cool 2013'ers will have (eventually) outdated macbooks anyway! We rock!

What quote were you trying to make? 😕

Tablet mac? I don't know how I feel about tablet computers to begin with...interesting nonetheless

When they are going to Bogie Lowenstein's party ("What's a bogie Lowenstein?") and the father lays down the ground rules. "No drinking, no smoking, no ritual animal slaughtering of any kind..."

Aaaah. Yeah, that was too indistinct to pick up.

"Oh god, I'm giving them ideas" 😛

Yeah, I wouldn't want it because I know my OCD would win on that one.

Worst part of all this is that I just realized the cost of a new computer isn't factored into my budget at NYMC...:bang:

I have a Toshiba laptop, had it for 3 1/2 years now but I'm so friggin tired of cleaning it up from viruses and crap. I've had to recover it 3 times!

I'm actually more of a PC guy, but I need to do some research on laptops.
Same here. I originally intended to buy a laptop and a desktop, but it turns out computers and not factored into my budget. Furthermore, if I want to get money to buy it I have to wait until classes begin, then give the fin aid office the receipt of what I've purchased, after which I get a grad plus loan.

"I want you to wear the suit. Just for a minute to remind you of the weight of your actions"

I love that movie! But yeah, I didn't get your original quote either. I googled it though. 😳

There are so many people here, yet nobody is posting. Lurkers!

I've had a PC laptop for four years now. The disk drive crapped out about three years ago but other than that I was fully satisfied. Well that was up until this year, then I got bombarded with spyware and finally got a virus that does not allow me to use the internet. Rather than recovering it, I said screw it, got an Touch and am waiting to get a final decision on school before I buy something new.

EDIT:

TOPper Harley at your service...

i might go with a net book and a desktop. I hate carrying around heavy laptops and my last one was only 11 inches and pretty light and I still didn't like taking it anywhere. Netbooks ($200-$350) have decent battery life and I thought getting a nice desktop would last me 2-4 years (and much cheaper than a nice laptop). Maybe use the monitor as a TV if necessary.

We can do that??

Spyware is what did me in for the most recent recovery. Thank goodness I kept those disks!!
