Class of 2013!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
uhhh packing is annoying 🙁

Well, I wasn't pre-med back in undergrad, not until senior year anyway. I had to do a post-bac to finish up my chem pre-reqs as well as to resuscitate my GPA.

That being said, I don't really regret doing biomedical engineering. Transport Phenomena I and II were some of my favorite classes (pulled A's in those, easily)
You're beyond me RR

nvm, yea BME.

Isn't it ridiculously hard to get into the BME major at hopkins and many end up doing chemE instead?

Yup. People were getting 'waitlisted' for BME and funneled towards doing ChemE instead (Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering). That was worse because you didn't get to take the cool BME classes and you had to do these 6 credit ChemE labs (maybe they were 8?) in order to graduate.. I'm told those were giant PITAs, one kid I know bombed his lab during senior year and he just didn't bother retaking it to graduate... lol

it is the 22nd already out here!!!!!😡

Ouch. I had a friend who went to hopkins and didn't get into the BME program, so he opted for ChemE. I think he ended up not graduating and is working in California now. This guy was a genius in high school, ridiculously smart at math, physics, chemistry, biology, and computer science. Had full ride to UW-Madison for winning the Van Vleck Talent Search. Not sure how he did not get into Hopkins BME.

I feel like I am getting sick

my PI was sick today and I shared the phone with him 😡

so I half packed... I don't feel like doing the rest right now. I'm gonna wake up at like 7am and do the rest

😕 Wow, I'm not sure how they do it either.. never thought to find out. It sounds like he would have been a perfect candidate for JHU BME. Oh well.. stranger things have happened, the kid who dropped out rather than wait a year to retake the ChemE lab was a Gates Millenium scholar, sheesh. I guess Bill Gates won't miss that $ though.

oh I saw Terminator btw... it was pretty good.
