welcome, smash!
😆 BD said that to me once! HAHAHA He was like "oh man I need to sit with that boy and teach him how to deal with you colored women"
he never did tho... they were too busy talking about weight lifting and work out music. uh, men
OOO OOO me too.....i only have like 140 songs i can workout too, and ive played through them a whole lot.speaking of lifting music...ask your bf for his playlist...
I am getting tired of all my music...i need more
crap. crap. crap. crap.
My first acceptance has sent me an e-mail saying to "make a decision NOW"
crap. crap. crap.
yikes...I have 5 more days to make a final decision, but I am pretty sure where I am going now after recent developments 😀
good luck nola
Run in the morning then!I always find it hard to work out after a stuffing-meal.
TOP!
Question for you Rice...when you are at the gym and see some guys lifting weights that are way too heavy for them with ugly form (ie. bouncing the bar off their chest, swinging their entire body on curls)...do you ever get the urge to correct them? I just wanna say "errr you arent doing yourself any good, you arent impressing anyone, and you will probably eventaully get hurt"...but i think that would be too condescending.

lmao...idk its just stupid to me. Spend all that time in the gym trying to impress people and really doing themselves minimal good.chubs worried about how other people might take what he says? what?
have u gotten your finaid stuff rice?

Lol..i should try that.Yeah I and pretty much all the other regulars just stare...at least that is how it works out at Penn. I definitely want to say something, but I do not want to come across as being a jerk.
Usually the collective staring does the trick
Where would this be, Rice?
Lol..i should try that.
UCSD vs Stanford
got off every other waitlist except Pitt's after I heard from UCSD.
Stanford has given me ample time to make a decision. And now that I can see how much I would be saving I am inclined to say helllllllllllllllllllllo San Diego.
If I do go to UCSD then me and Berk will be classmates 😀
Well if that's the case then, free is freeeeeee and maybe you can make her get a facebook 🙂
Plus, UCSD vs Stanford is comparing apples to apples IMO.
yea i feel ya....they'll learn eventually i guess.

I vote UCSD...but like pianola..the choice is yours 😉plus the idea of surfing again is making me all geeky...😀
this. if people are committed to actually improving size, strength, or shape, they will had to do the right thing eventually. i find that almost everyone young or new at the gym tries to gauge their strength by lifting heavy. improper form does irk me a bit, but i just hope they don't blow their backs out doing curls or shoulder lifts.

yeah I cringe.
you work out at Pottruck, right?
no worries I'm not in Killadelphia anymore

LMAO..cause i know exactly what you are talking about, well maybe not the gym owners, but definitely employees.one thing i really find funny is gym owners/sales people that wear tight shirts for no reason and just stand by women as they run on the treadmill.
yeah...I've talked to residency directors about both schools and they have had nothing but good things to say. When I asked about perceived diff in prestige one director laughed at me......and the other said that should be the least of my worries.
I liked both schools equally, but for diff reasons...and b/c neither one sticks out in my mind (the way UCSF did 🙁:cry🙂 as a clear front runner I am inclined to choose the cheaper option...aka UCSD
have you surfed in SD before? im actually gettin ready to go out in a lil bit 😀
Good deal then!yeah...I've talked to residency directors about both schools and they have had nothing but good things to say. When I asked about perceived diff in prestige one director laughed at me......and the other said that should be the least of my worries.

nah, not at the moment. I am at home in jersey and work out at the local gym (where McNabb apparently works out time to time). I might hit up the penn gym again. its nice and its free (for me)!
one thing about going to the local fitness centers with an older average age is that they are usually less crowded. however, they love to have random long discussions with random people though.

aight, ill be back in a few. Praying for peace in your decision, pianola.
nope never have.
The farthest south I have ever surfed was huntington beach..farthest north...malibu
I hear there are a couple of nice spots down there. But in most areas down there don't the waves break too close to the shore?
I mean, not really. The only place i can think of is in la jolla at windansea where they break literally ON the shore. Everything else is definitely surfable. You can even go to places like sunset cliffs where you paddle for like 10 min cuz the waves break so far out (there is a reef there tho). The waves dont get very big, especially in the summer, with most days being between 2-4 ft but its still a blast. In the winter they can get pretty big....scary big (for me at leasT).
LOL, I would not know what do with myself if I saw someone do that in publicor you could just stand next to their bench and start doin the slow jerk. not sure how that would help their work out, but it would be f'in hilarious.
My sister lives in San Diego. I visit there at least 4 times a year, Rice 😉dude UCSD all the way!
I can't stand people who try to talk to me at the gym. It's the one place where I am strictly anti-social. I don't even like running with people. Work out time is alone time !I blast my music as loud as possible so people know not to bother me. Sometimes, though there are those that just want to talk.
I agree with Sarah, if the schools are the same for you, then just save the 15K. But if you really feel drawn to one or the other, 15K is not a big deal IMO.Thank you. Peace is exactly what needs to be prayed for. There isn't much around here.
OK bottom line (the only point of comparison that is available):
Miami will cost me $34K this year.
Cornell will cost me $49K this year.
