The previews did look pretty good...and I have heard that sentiment about Sandra Bullock often 🙂

I signed a lease on an apartment today. When does it finally hit that I am going to medical school? It still feels like it's something I just say. 😕

She looks like she's gotten more attractive as she gets older, doesn't she?

I just got home from playing drinking games while watching The Office Season 2. We had to drink every time Pam said "Dunder Mifflin, this is Pam"; when Michael said "that's what she said"; when Jim looks directly at the camera; or when Dwight says "Question." It was a pretty fun night 🙂
 
anyone else having a trouble finding an apartment. not trouble, per se, but just overthinking it? i have spending money to feel like i would be uncomfortable withe the living situation/commute or something.

I was having trouble until I found this one place that met enough of my requirements that I was ready to say "Ok, this is the place!" without having to compare it to any of the other options.

Except it has wall to wall carpeting, which I think is gross. Also, I have a bird, and birds are messy. Maybe I'll get a roomba? And have the carpet cleaned before I move in. (I might be a little OCD about cleanliness).

Fun fact: I might be living in the same building as ONOY. 😀
 
congrats on finally finding a place!!

i ended up falling back asleep at 1230am until 730am so i had a lot of sleep it seems.

old navy is having that $2 per ribbed tank sale today that i think i may try to check out..

my mom and i are thinking about baking my dad a chocolate/banana/applesauce loaf for my dad since he doesnt like very sweet stuff like cake.

That would be awesome! We could help each other overcome our SDN addictions, lol 🙂 I'll tell you, the price is certainly right at said apartment building, and public transportation makes it "👍." It's probably more convenient than walking 15min to school from a closer location, especially if it is raining or something.

I think they clean the carpets... but I guess you could re-clean them. And-- don't forget to have them paint 1 wall a color of your choosing for free!

I'm not surprised either, but it is really sad. 🙁 They never seemed happy about having that many kids. They love their kids, of course, but they definitely would rather have just had one more, not six more. It's got to be tough.

😱! They'll paint a wall for you? That's awesome! I actually had been looking at that building online and had marked it as my favorite, and then I read your comments on facebook and was like Score! Sounds great! 😀 And saves me a trip to St Louis. 😳 Definitely more convenient that having to walk 15 minutes everyday. I did that this year (lived a 15 minute walk away and off the school bus route) and I have to say, I think living further away but on a public transportation route is more convenient. Also, my roommate is a grad student so she needs to be able to go to the main campus easily.

The price is amazing (I told my mother and she was like "Each?" Nope! Total!) I'm sure they do clean the carpets... Hm. I guess I'll ask. If they explicitly say that they do, and I feel like I can trust them, then I'm fine.


I think I'm ready to let go of my wait lists. It feels weird. The US still doesn't quite feel like home to me (been here 9 years now too, but 8 years in dorms) but the East Coast has been all I've known, and now I'm heading out on my own to St Louis. :scared: Chances of the bf ending up there after he graduates are slim to none (but same for pretty much all my other options, wait list or otherwise) so I just have to hope we can manage the long distance thing and then try to work things out when I'm applying for Residencies.

I'm optimistic about it though. 😎 I luffs him. And maybe I'll luff the midwest too...? 😳

Awesome! 😎 I love that shirt. I've yet to wear it though. I think I'm making myself wear it today. :laugh:

It always makes me happy when I'm able to point someone in the direction of something they like. I found out recently that I was the one who introduced a friend to Castlevania, Symphony of the Night.
 
Hmmmmm.....very slow day today (here and not here).

I just realized a Super Target is about 5 minutes away from my residence at med school. My poor, poor checking account. :cry:

I hope they annouce that they are going to try to work out their marriage sans TV... thus ending the show, but keeping a family together. (Probably not going to happen)

My school hasn't sent me any paper work... I want to get all of this stuff finished while I still have awesome insurance through work; otherwise my school better be providing me with the necessary immunizations (though I think I should be up to date with everything) and a free physical.

I have to work until 11pm tonight, I am not a happy camper.

I am already going to be lame and go for a bit-my headache is screaming for coffee 🙁 And since I am still in Fort Worth, I am going to go scope out the Super Target, :laugh: They have a Starbucks.....$5 coffee here I come😳
 
How the hell do I get my stuff from Connecticut to Missouri? 😕 I might be able to convince my brother to drive me to DC, so then it's just DC to St Louis, but that's still far. Also, I'm realizing, how on earth do I pick my stuff up? I can't drive and I'm just one person so I can't carry much.

I'm getting close to having to beg Mr Quirks to fly to St Louis from seattle and help me move in.

$5 Coffee for the win; I have fully come to grips with it; it's so delicious that I have zero qualms about it.
