my parents ASSUME I won't have an open bar because they don't like alcohol... but I think they are going to have to deal with it. Open bar parties are the best.
 
I'm in Maine for the weekend. My Dad's boss invited us to stay in their summer house near Bar Harbor... this place is gorgeous. It's literally on the water. This house has to be at least a million dollars. It's pretty cool. I hope one day I can afford to have a summer house like this! Too bad it's in Maine :laugh: I kid I kid

Hey Lyss: I am sitting in South Station right now waiting for my commuter rail out to Wellsley Hills....I 😍 Boston...The only problem is that it is not very diverse (or maybe it is just that people don't intermingle around here). I am fed ex-ing a one way train ticket down to your house in the NYC to come back up here. Rumble in Roxbury/Quincy Market/ Little Italy....either way you won't be going back after I whip you...so no need for round trip...Tell your BF to get his last buh byes in

no seriously that would be awesome to learn OMM...I know of many MD's who are going to conferences just to learn it

Seriously, open bar weddings are way more fun, especially when the bride and groom get trashed during the reception 😛

Assyrians are....ummmm, me? lol, here is the extrememly short answer: "Assyrians are a Semitic peoples indigenous to Mesopotamia. They are Mediterranean Caucasoids" I would say 98% are Christian (either Church of the East or Catholic) and we got 400,000 living here in the US and over a million in Iraq (home country).

And IMO Assyrian babies are pretty....but I am biased, since most of the ones I have seen lately are my cousins' kids 🙄

geesh...my small piece of luggage is now tattered: the wheels are essentially useless and the fabric is worn with black streaks all over it.

Funny thing is I was thinking about the whole "whaaaazuuuup!" fad the other day. :laugh:

Am at work. 🙁 Been here since about 2:30pm. Hopefully just another hour left. I have so much planning to do at home and it's starting to stress me out. I really wish plane ticket prices didn't go up over time. Need to figure out exactly how and when I'm moving out of my apartment and where I'm going so I can buy my tickets to Seattle and then to St Louis.

Totally buying a chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich from the vending machine on my way out. 😀 If the machine's out of service again I'm going to be mad. 😡

I 😍 Boston, it has a special place in my heart... but you hit the nail on the head with the diversity thing. There are a lot of people from a lot of different places BUT they all stay in their segregated neighborhoods. The easiest way to see it is on the trains. Transfer from the green line to the red line or orange line and you see a HUGE difference. People don't mix very well over there & everything is far from each other... and the subway system sucks haha. I took a really cool class about the history of Boston & all the different neighborhoods. You would have loved it. But I would definitely consider living in Boston. It has a very cool vibe to it... but I still love NY!

I actually might be driving up there in July so no need for the ticket but thanks. I'll just run your ass over.

hiya everyone! shopping was successful. I found a very 😎 piece of furniture... its a chair and a half that makes into a twin bed! perfect, I have a couch I can take AND a queen blow-up bed so there is plenty of sleeping space now.

I'll post a pic later. I've had a migraine all afternoon. Learning a new city is stressful 🙁
