Orientation starts on Monday. It's really happening :scared:
 
I just finished orientation. One week till Anatomy though. We have a week long class called Introduction to being a Physician. Patient interviews, physician panels, etc.

Holy cow we are med students!!!
 
azn, i didnt go to 6flags bc it rained 🙁
i may go wednesday with my bf but it was supposed to be my parents, me and my bf that time... seriously sad it didnt happen.

i cant believe i have a week before orientation. kind of freaking out. definitely not ready to give up summer.. and my schedule is up too.. mon-fri 9am until 3-430ish depending on the day with exams every 2-3 weeks..

Pre-Orientation + Orientation was exhausting! 😱 I loved it, but I'm in need of some serious social hibernation. I've barely been online for the past two weeks and I've temporarily lost touch with my bff (but thankfully not with my bf) since she's not in the US and we communicate online.

I'm kinda nervous about my first day of classes tomorrow! :scared: Maybe I'll try to distract myself today with cleaning and finishing up my room.

We'll be fine... the course schedule is the scariest thing! It is a test in itself just to make sure you end up in the right class on the right day 👎

Ok good, I thought maybe it was just us. Everyday I am looking at my schedule like it's the first day of class all over again!

I am the 13th med student-the one that shows up to everything but accidentally falls asleep at night, when I should be studying 🙁

But I survived my first exam-stuff isn't hard, just A TON OF THINGS TO LEARN! I definitely studied hard-it felt like an undergrad final with the amount of the material. So when they say keep up-KEEP UP 😛
 
gawd I am anxious/scared (slightly) :scared:...I'm even starting to get wrinkles on my face :laugh:
 
Sorry I haven't been around... first exam is looming (wednesday morning). I feel like I've got a decent handle on everything, but it IS a lot. Plus we have 5 more hours of lecture tomorrow that will be on it...

And Tuesday, our "review" day (which consists of two hours of review in the AM) is adequately filled with Intro to Gross Anatomy, Gross Pre-Lab, and our first Gross lab. So, yeah, I definitely found the need to get the material down cold this weekend.

Have I said lately that I 😍 med school? Yeah it's a lot... but it's great!
 
This week will start to get to be more "business as usual", as the pediatric interest group (hereafter referred to as PIG) gets started out and CMDA weekly meetings begin for me (I had to do off campus stuff last tuesday). Throw Bible study in there one day and phew... lunch isn't looking quite as boring!

Oh yeah, then there's that Gross thing....
 
The orientation retreat was awesome! Last day is tomorrow and classes start on Tuesday:scared:

Our prof mentioned Viagra and related drugs as an example of NO signalling, and when he said "erectile dysfunction" the girl sitting in front of me had a major outburst of laughter...but was unfortunately the only one in the entire class of 300 who thought it was hysterical. I almost fell off my chair 🤣
