no, we will be in Chicago for the SNMA conference (I think it's in Feb). Will you be in Chi-town then??? I'm either doing Halloween in NYC or DC this year. I gotta see what's poppin

I actually couldn't care less, but Being in Texas, you have to know football, and there are a lot of people here who hate USC as much as any good Bruin does😎
 
Can you guys believe it's been a year since "Match Day" for us?

Good luck on your test tomorrow funk. back/upper ext. was our first test, but we do head/neck at the last.

I made it through abdomen/thorax with B's, and I'm thrilled. Biochem/cor test tomorrow followed by 2 Histo (practical and written) on Monday, and FINALLY a little breathing time. So far, i'm 4/4 on passing in the 8-in-10-days block.

ohh, I got confused by the post. I thought originally that the SNMA conference was later on, but got a little excited when I read that post. I COULD be in Chi-town then..its about a 5.5 hour drive from Des Moines...

I can't imagine what a place like NYC would be like for halloween 🙂. I've got hight hopes for Chi-city

Finished my midterms yesterday... then slept for like 16 hours. Did really well on biochem but haven't gotten any other grades back. Pretty sure I passed physiology and histology written tests, but I might have failed (i.e. <70%) on my histo practical...

Overall, this week didn't make me want to quit med school 👍
 
My med school quarter ended today!! That means 1) I'm done with Histology forever and 2) I have a weekend with no work to be done!

Cumulative biochem final on monday 😡

One nice thing is that after we finish a lot of these core subjects we will never have them again. Thats something to be happy about.
 
i definitely use sdn as a procrastination tool. so sad
 
I have no idea how I did on anatomy, but I really do not wanna check. It is possible to know since the key is posted outside the lab, but whenever I check my grades earlier, I tend to do worse... am I being paranoid?

So the forecast for this weekend is lots of time in lab, since we have our practical for anatomy on monday...

Man, my anatomy practicals kick my ass. If it weren't for the written portions, I'd have no hope at all.

Histo written + practical tomorrow.
Last two in the string of 8.

Managed to come out of the others fairly alive, with only one borderline (but it was the punted biochem that I knew I did awesomely bad on).

I have no energy, no gumption, and nothing learned. Best part of the weekend: Watching Ole Miss (finally) come alive, followed by the Saints kicking some serious ***** today. We could go all the way.... 🙂

Looks like I'm not going to bed anytime soon, or maybe at all. Thankfully the prednisone (yup, asthma flareup in the midst of all this) has me insomniac-ish, so with the coffee... Yeah. Hope I'm good.

Lord, let me make it through the next 21 hours, and then I can give in to sleep...

Looks like an excellent way to spend lecture. For some reason I feel like my classmates would make it a big deal if I slept in class. Not sure why..or if they really would...but the vibe in our lectures is really weird. Which is why I only go about half the time 😀
