Why blasphemy or why research?

The research year is entirely paid for by the med school (after 2nd year) and it'll give me a year to study for Step 1. If Step 1 is ACTUALLY harder than the MCAT (as SDNers seem to suggest), I might need that extra year to study.

(The blasphemy part should be obvious.)
