Class of 2014!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I envy guys so much.
You must be geniuses because I saw no indication of any of your's finals week, while I feel like these yucky finals have taken over my lifffeeee!

We are very good at compartmentalizing. And generally sweeping aside lesser concerns (finals) for greater ones (sports). Women get too caught up in everything 😛.

I just take frequent breaks. And my final is on friday, so I have yet to activate hardcore studying mode.

i would rather be in school though. working sucks
Grass is allways greener I suppose.

My final is in Pchem....and worth 50% of my grade. Hard to convince myself to relax for more than a couple of hours lol.

I'm thinking about making "I passed Pchem shirts" after this semester. Good luck on your exam, I got to skip mine (not because I aced the class - because it would take a 101 to get me from a B- to a B), and let senioritis kick in

Mine don't start until tomorrow.
GOOD LUCK!!!!!

well i am off to bed.

miraculously, I actually have an A in it as of now. but I don't have the option of not taking the final...if I want to pass that is lol

having academic physicians as parents is pretty annoying when you are going through this process. they will point out all the problems the schools had in the recent past and ****
can we ask what specialty or is that TMI?

hahaha... you know, in the moment you would probably come up with something. I've always wanted to be a sports statistician or a broadcaster... both seemingly low key, entertaining professions

This is my dream job. Sports anchor, statistician, or college football analyst a la Rece Davis.

So on my drive home tonight I couldn't see more than 3 feet in front of me because of fog and had to use different routes because of streets closed for high water. 😡

Plantations, oak trees and high water look a lot creepier in the near pitch-black than in the day.

But it was nice to go out again. Late night snackage time, I do believe.

My bf is not from around here and he was sooo excited about the fog. I told him he wouldn't be as excited if he had to drive through it. XD

Definitely not. Most of my drive home is on the 310 which has no lights. It wasn't very fun. Then my Airline exit was closed for high water so I had to go around through River Road, and the fog is always worse by the river.

Oy.

yep... that's sucky. glad you got home safe 🙂

Can we ask what problems they've pointed out?? 😀

They know the financial situations of different schools well and when someone gets a donation and especially the type of patient environment. Like what hospital went bankrupt and whatnot (whats unstable, etc). They also are quick to tell you about the schools that won't be too hands on (ie Cleveland Clinic). So basically both sides. They are really quick to ask med students, residents, fellows and other physicians about the schools I applied to, as well.

Do they not have fog other places???!?!?!?!!? 😱

So weird that Airline and River Road go all the way from BR to NOLA. Sometimes makes me confused though when people talk about them.

Good luck brooklyn. I'm hoping for good news this week too, but you gotta believe they've interviewed 100+ people and have a VERY good idea of who they want. I don't really like my chances, but I have to believe right?

My plans for the day:
-Goof around at work
-Do a little work
-Go volunteer all night
-Cook massive amounts of high quality food while volunteering

Oh, and that traffic pileup!:scared: Wow, I would hate to respond to that as EMS. It'd be a ton of work lining up all the patients and triaging.

TRex's itinerary for today:
Work out
Eat a breakfast of french toast (check mail on my way there)
Study in the Chem library...heavenly quiet!
Lunch Lunch Lunch
Go to office hours to harass my professor about any remaining questions
Eat dinner and settle in for another 3 hours of studying.

Favorite part: French Toast
Part I have to do now: French Toast
YUM!😍

food seems to be a focal part of your day

My plans are study, work out, then study. And eat stuff too, of course.

I can't decide what my plans are today. Either:

1 Final
Work/study for final tomorrow
MNF
Gym
Study
Sleep

OR

1 Final
Sleep
Study
MNF
gym
study

I think I will regret the second option when my paycheck comes out, but I'm pretty tired.

You're gonna workout AND study after mnf? That's intense, when do you sleep haha

what uuuuup

i boxed last night and now it's really hard to make and release a fist with my left hand. boo yah.

The #1 thing I'm looking forward to this break is my mom's french toast! I could eat that stuff for eternity and not get sick of it. Soo goooood 👍

Another thread informed me they don't sell superman icecream outside of MI (or not far outside of it anyways). Tis' tragic you guys are missing out big time.
