Yeah, I was kinda chilly during our interview, but I can deal. I really like it it's the perfect size and yes, near the beach. You pretty much summed it up. It's also not as expensive as GWU which is one of the reasons I've been tip toeing around it and Tulane.

I know I probably shouldn't worry as much about money, but I plan on going into Peds, so it's not like I'll be making bank like some of you surgeons out there. :laugh:

My personal feeling is that if I have a choice? Go with the cheaper one that I still like. If I don't, who gives a woop.

Then again, my state school is really good, even if I'm not really jumping for joy at going back.

My cheapest in-state option is not very high on my list. It's mostly because of its location though, not so much the school itself.

When my 4 was punctured I also felt like 🙁 but then I realized it's just good to feel human... Also, graduating with <4.00 is conducive to dealing well with the inevitable "disappointments" in med school 🙂.

but yea, i kinda miss seasons too, but i'd like to go to a big, diverse city. it'd be perfect if mount sinai would give me a call, they're pretty cheap too, but miami fits the description the best right now.

yea, just keep doing what you're doing, i mean, you did get 4 interviews out of 11 so you're obviously doing it right. vent a lil to us and just keep hoping(and sending love letter to the schools), it'll turn out fine.

yea, we all have different criteria. to me, it's the ppl who make the experience, so it doesn't really matter where i go, i just gotta hope i like the ppl there.
 
Last major exam of the first semester of med school... finished 🙂

There's a cumulative one on Friday, but I'm not worried because it's supposed to be all big picture type things and last year's class got like a 95 or something on it.
 
ugh my computer won't turn on!🙁 anyone know anything about computers? i push it on and the little green lights under the screen turn on, but nothing happens-no blue screen, no writing, nothing...anyone know why? (it's plugged in so it shouldnt be the batteries fault i dont think)

since you're talking about batteries, i assume you're using a laptop. When your laptop is powered, usually there's a little light on your computer next to the connector to the power source that turns on. Is it on?

Yep that was us today. Morning written over this block's material, then a cumulative histology and anatomy practical. The histo owned me, but I think I did OK on anatomy.

Yeah, the practical is probably what gonna trip me up. Hoping for my voodo guessing skills to come through for me.
 
Just cooked dinner. Beef stroganoff. My parents and I bet on the Heisman top 3 and the winner got to give chores away. My mom won so I cooked and dad's doing the dishes. Sad thing is, she didn't even know who Gerhart and Suh were. So she just put the other three in the top 3. She picked Ingram since Bama beat Florida. Pure luck.

Yay!! I got an A in Macroeconomics!! Now, hopefully, I'll get an A in Southern Politics, that way I'll have a 4.0 this semester. But I'm really really close to an A- in that class, so it's up in the air still. Depends on how he grades the essay final.

Well, let's see. Captain December (Romo) and his Merry Men are 0-2 in this time in December. And we all know what happened last season against the Eagles in the season finale.

Mark my words: the Cowboys will lose out to finish 8-8 (they'll find a way to lose to the 'Skins, somehow, some way) and Wade Phillips will be out of a job.

Regardless of what hapens Wade has no job in Dallas at seasons end. They'd have to win the superbowl for him to stay

I believe they already lost to the skins, or almost did, not too long ago.

I actually think any playoff win would be enough, but suffice to say I don't see that happening.

Romo is the biggest tease in the NFL. Plays well for like 2 months to get our hopes up, then smashes them.

I was soooo psyched! Thankfully, I was in the middle of my year off, though. I'm sure it would have been disastrous in my senior year.:laugh:👍
