yeah there is always the possibility of injury...but come on, peyton hasnt missed a game in his career (i think), and hes proven to be really durable. they probably win the game if he stays in, they probably go undefeated if they win this game, and they set up their team to be in the running for one of the greatest sports franchises in the history of sports if they finish things off, and they cement peyton's legacy as probably best qb ever. now, with one stupid coaching decision, they are just another team. sometimes i cant stand herm edwards, but hes right...you play to win the game.

Yea i doubt he would have gotten injured. He probably could have won the game by halftime then left it to the backups to run the time out. I personally think Peyton is great (my favorite player, screw Brady👎) and I wanted to see him win this record to cement him as one of the greatest ever. But now its gone.

Every time I see Herm Edwards I can't help but laugh at those Coors Light commercials with him in it. :laugh:.

yeah those always crack me up! herm worked as an nfl analyst for espn a couple times this year, and man that guy is a trip...he leans in on other analysts, kinda talks like hes holding a press conference or giving a locker room speech or something...very awkward.

this is the question. out of all potential playoff teams, pats scare me most...and there is a really high chance that they will be coming to san diego to play the divisional round. we'll see

I mean, the guy can do what he wants but his decision seemed so arbitrary.

If he's worried about the possibility of his starters getting injured, why was he even playing them until the 3rd quarter? And if he wanted his starters to stay fresh and avoid rust for the playoffs, I'd imagine you'd want to throw them out there in a 5 point game or play until the game was more or less out of reach.

If he had decided beforehand "look, they're only playing a half" or "they're only in for the opening drive," that sort of makes sense...but to wait until the 3rd quarter in a close game and then sort of decide "actually, yeah I guess I don't care about this game" just struck me as sort of weird.

I mean, his decision even seemed to catch his starters off-guard...

its nothing special id be working in the audit dept at a hospital. but it pays decent and is a hell of a lot better then working at like target for 8.25....which does nothing for my family. I know the economy is bad and all that but man i didnt think it would be so hard to just find some random desk/customer service job that at least pays 12+ an hr....i found that easily w/o even graduating HS back in the day. Now i have a degree and it seems im like toxic to hire or something 🙁.

ya he's now calling it a "leave of absence". apparantly he's just planning on taking a vacation during the off season then returning to coach next year.

Yeah, you have a point. I probably would have not played them the entire game.

I'm feeling unbelievably lazy today.

Yesterday I sat and watched football for 7 hours, ate a pizza, then ordered a movie on hd.

This is my weekend during the football season. I will miss those days when the only thing on TV is baseball.
 
Just got an official rejection from UIC. I forgot I still have open applications. I should probably go and withdraw from them.

oddly enough I did think about you. I was reading my local newspaper and there was a political cartoon with the characters from the princess and the frog, sorta mocking the health care reform. i lol'd...it was very cute. i could probably google it...

Ahh! DJ Earworm's United State of Pop is one of my favorite parts about the end of the year. That, and the top 97 songs of the year listed by one of the local radio stations, though this year they're doing the top 200 of the decade. Haha

I have been anxious to hear from Emory and as if by design I cannot check my mail until next monday because the mailroom on campus is closed 🙁

But it doesn't seem like the Dec. acceptances have gone out...so I might be anxious for another month (2/2...ridic!)

Thanks-it really means a lot to me to have so many people rooting for me. I don't know about anyone else but this process has been a rather lonely endeavor for me because most people I know (errrr like) are waiting another year to apply. It feels encouraging to see people's confidence in me 🙂 when my own might not be at its highest point.

I look forward to seeing your Princess Tiana dress....where are you going to wear it to?
