Psh what would you know
😛
Careful, I have an itchy ban finger 😉
i was told I should get one for the sake of my credit score -> future home/car loans.

probably just credit card company misinformation though.
 I've heard that too but never cared enough to want to bother with the bills. I figure a doctor will probably be able to get decent loans.
No credit card here either. I applied once though, a year or so ago. I was rejected on the grounds that I have "no established history with a major creditor....Visa, Mastercard, AE, etc"

Gee. Its a good thing I was applying to establish some history with Visa.
lol!
Did I miss anything important in the last 5 pages?

I :biglove: Jefferson
I think I made fun of you at some point. That's always important.

Something about food and being vegetarian.

Oh, we had a 2 page discussion on Peyton Manning's greatness.

Other than that, not much. Glad you had fun at Jefferson 🙂

I need to reread Catch22. I hated it when I started and liked it when I finished it. Later, I realized how good it was.

I should reread it with a more open and sarcastic mindframe, it'll probably be a lot better.

i think it might be the most sarcastic thing i've ever read, so that would do you good. the whole jumping around in time thing doesn't really help.

I wasn't a fan of the time jumping, either.

When I first read it, I didn't think I really knew what I was reading and what I should be paying attention to, so it didn't go as well as it could have. Satires are sometimes tricky to get their charm at first because it often comes across as pointlessness.

two more days of work and my medical bills are history.
hallelujah!

what uppp

way to join the conversation! 🙂

i think a lot of satires are pretty specific to the time in which they were written, which makes things especially hard. only certain ones manage to transcend the generations.

eg i love doctor strangelove. one of my favorite comedies. but i wasn't aware of the world until well after the cold war was over, so I can never find it as amusing as someone older than me.

So was the conversation in which discoveries of underage drinking were potentially made on facebook in which an admission of underage drinking was made (with photographic evidence provided) purely hypothetical or did we just have a moment of irony?

I need to take some time to breathe and catch up on some personal statement reading. I think I have 4 or 5 to read that have been waiting for at least a week.

Sometimes you don't realize how many people may want your advice.

i know we were talking about the plausibility of schools looking at facebook earlier, but i'm not sure what you're talking about exactly.

It was interesting how shortly after this conversation, the Baylor 2014 Facebook group was temporarily closed.

Yeah, I've got someone in the queue right now. I think it's good I didn't sign up immediately, as the ones on top get more action I think.

...which was really a roundabout way of saying: are you talking about privacy settings to hide your underage drinking on this perfectly public forum, or was I reading that incorrectly?

S'what I get for not trying to call you out specifically.

I wasn't supposed to start until Jan 2nd....someone PMed me 30 minutes before midnight to ask me to proofread.
lol thought it was funny

I got a couple of messages on AIM Tuesday night asking for help with some SDN-related thing, only the dude disappeared on me.😡

I think I'm finally back in the non-vacation groove now.

At least at Disney you wake up relatively early, so getting up at 7:30 isn't a big deal after being gone for a week.

haha yea...he never replied when I sent him the edited version...I hate it when people don't acknowledge receipt!

btws....I just saw a video of a guy without legs ...dancing...made me really nervous for some reason. weird.

night metal.

brooklyn, you get the non-sequitur award for the evening

It also came as new details emerged about the locker-room confrontation between Arenas and Javaris Crittenton, a Wizards teammate, on Dec. 21 that suggest a potentially far more volatile incident than was originally reported by Arenas to team officials.

The two players had been arguing during a card game on the Wizards' flight back from Phoenix Dec. 19, and the dispute spilled into the team locker room at Verizon Center before practice two days later. Arenas has acknowledged bringing his handguns to the arena and displaying them in the locker room that morning in what he maintained was a playful gesture aimed at his teammate.

According to two first-hand accounts of the confrontation, Crittenton responded to Arenas's action -- which included laying the four unloaded weapons in Crittenton's cubicle with a note that read, "Pick One" -- by brandishing his own firearm, loading the gun and chambering a round.
Two of the five people in the room that morning, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said Arenas had originally not disclosed Crittenton's action to protect the little-used guard from prosecution and had told Crittenton he would assume full responsibility for the actions of both players that day.

how is nip tuck still making shows. good stuff

that show is still on?

i had lunch with my grandma today and a couple people from greys anatomy were sitting next to us. it was really funny because they were wearing scrubs, but blended right in because there's a hospital right nearby and tons of docs and nurses eat there.
